Probably a fake post, but I'm kinda surprised how there seems to be a little bit more support on the top level than the usual kinds of attacks.

Just don't dig in too deep, the logical fallacy well runneth deep as you get lower. A sickening amount of sharp reactions that should serve a poignant reminder that this is not ever going to be a mainstream topic, there will be no civilized discussion during this evolutionary period of human life. Maybe in a millennium or two our successors will have a better understanding of what it means to be human and what it means to be an animal.

edit: yay happy cake day to me!

That thread was kinda cool on the surface, but a total shitstorm of cognitive disconnect inside. As usual.

I love how people immediately jump to that conclusion that if someone's attracted to dogs, there's something wrong with their brain. Of course, I'm biased, but don't believe that for a second.

Is there something wrong with me? Absolutely not. I'm a loving, tolerant, successful, intelligent person. It saddens me to think that people will never accept us, but it's what I believe.

Fortunately, the two people in my life who do know about me are completely accepting of it, so perhaps there's hope afterall.

Yet another reason to not tell anyone about our animal thing. Keep it to yourself, unless the person you're with expresses interest. Her husband obviously didn't express "interest" only curiosity. Once she heard him laugh about it, she should have dropped the subject and not said another word unless he started expressing interest in zoophilia. But sadly she thought she could trust him at that point and it was a huge mistake. My current GF seemed to be also trusting that I could tell her anything. But when I told her about my animal thing 15 years ago, it also messed with her head. It was not good. It's my biggest regret. I should have kept the secret. And when I told another friend when she joked about a dog licking her, and fessed up to licking a mare, she likewise instantly freaked. You have to be very careful who you share this secret with. Some people will accept that you experimented a little when you were a kid, but if they find out you went whole hog, especially as an adult, they freak out.
