I'm a straight male when it comes to humans but as soon as animals are involved, I love dick. I might even go as far to say that I prefer male animals. Does anyone else feel this way?

Well meeting other zoos was very different back in 1997. The internet was new for most and I just happened to live next to a few and we met up. It went well. Its a matter of building trust and finding someone local to chat with. Then it's just a matter of hoping you didn't find someone unstable. So be cautions and keep reaching out.

As a female I can't say much, as I have no experience or desire for female animals, however from my perspective, the masculinity and affection of a male dog is very different than a male human, so I can imagine it might be so far removed from traditional definitions of sexuality that it really doesn't matter what you call it.

Agreed, she's very well spoken (or typed, whatever you prefer). And I feel the same way. I'm not really into human males all that much, and I prefer dogs over humans most of the time.
As a straight male, my first experience with sex of any kind was giving both of my (neutered, sadly) male dogs blow jobs. Since then, I've been with one bitch, under a lot of male dogs (more access to them than females), and two women. I'm also one of the few zoos I've heard of or know that never struggled with any aspect of my zoosexuality. I've just kind of always liked animals.

Nothing odd about that. I like to think of the zoo aspect as a wholly different matter of tastes. I'm bi with humans leaning toward males. I'm bi with animals leaning toward females.
Your human orientation has little bearing on zoo because their is a different set of attractions from physical to mental. So what you like in humans may not apply to your like in animals.
