What famous person do you think is a zoophile? (self.zoophilia)

Well, this has the potential to go wrong really badly, but:

Friedrich Nietzsche perhaps: According to HOEGE cited via ROSENBAUER [translated] "Friedrich Nietzsche for example harbored all his life strong zoophiliac feelings towards horses, despite falling from one as a young man and receiving a lasting injury. 1889 he embraced under tears a carriage horse in Turin because it was flogged by the driver." - However, the Wikipedia page on him states the sources VERRECCHIA and KAUFMAN, who either say it's a tale or use it to corroborate that Nietzsche suffered a general mental breakdown at the time.

Catharine the Great (of Russia): Nah, sorry. Despite her having ridiculously sexually loaded furniture in some or her rooms, I think her preference for big horses was invented by her enemies. They wanted to exploit her general promiscuity as a propaganda element.

Stephen Fry: There is a really ... uhm ... interesting video on youtube, in which he 'really' likes horses. Search for 'Stephen Fry likes horses'. However, the point of the QI show is to turn everything into a joke, so he might just be pulling leg here.

Tulius Flavius (?): The -I guess real- antique Roman citizen responsible for fathering the mythical godess Epona.

Bodil?

you? ;)

These are spot on. Fry was just being comedic.

On the other hand he is right, there must be a handful under all the famous persons ever. It hits random people, after all.

I recall some ridiculously rich guy who built a house/barn for his horses that was a sheer palace. Can't recall the name. And i am sure digging under all the popes and noblemen ever there surely will be some stories involving said people and goats.

If we can use historical examples then Tesla claimed to love a pigeon "as a man loves a woman".

[deleted] 1 point on 2014-07-31 08:02:51

Nice, didn't know that.

Pravus0 2 points on 2014-08-01 11:35:28

But Tesla was known to be asexual. In any casa his love would be platonic

anonymouszoo123 3 points on 2014-08-01 16:21:37

He made several very zoophilic remarks though. He could have been asexual, but if he was attracted to animals, he probably wouldn't have told people.

The zoosexual spectrum includes platonic love as well. I don't think you could do much with a pigeon anyways...

Miley Cyrus. I just see so many pictures of her smooching pooches, and I can't help but wonder if her wild new personality has led to more than she's letting on.

Gluefucktory 1 point on 2014-08-01 17:08:36

I hope not. What a public image for zoophiles to have. Ick.

We'll have to agree to disagree on that, I'm afraid. She seems like a bold and vibrant young artist, and if she was a zoophile, I think she would be a wonderful ambassador.

i like to call this "celebrity zoodar" :)

betty white?

the likelihood is slim to none, but it's fun to read into some things sometimes. points 3-4-5-6 flow together nicely and paint an interesting picture if you take it out of context. :)

Aw, man, that's like your talking about my grandmother! No, I think she's just got a big old soft heart. One of her funnier comments from her AMA:

Favorite Animal? Oh, that's asking somebody with 9 children which is their favorite! Anything with a leg on each corner.

hey, old people were young once, too. ;) besides, like i said, i'm taking it out of context. i don't really believe she's a zoophile, it just fun to read into some of the things from that list.

[deleted] 1 point on 2014-08-03 08:43:39

I bet she would have tried if the thought had occurred to her. She seems so open to life's experiences...

I stumbled across this little paparazzi shot (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2516286/Amanda-Seyfried-shares-romantic-kiss-dog-Finn-pair-enjoy-chilly-stroll.html) of Amanda Seyfried and her Austrailian Shepherd Finn... my imagination went into overdrive. Also, remember how Amanda played Linda Lovelace, the woman who reputedly mated with dogs for one of her films?

i saw the pic of them laying on their backs next to each other in the same general position a while back. cute stuff, and yes... "inspiring" ;)

Linda Lovelace, the woman who reputedly mated with dogs

It's not reputed, it definitely happened.

[deleted] 1 point on 2014-08-07 01:38:05

I wonder if there's any deleted scenes in Amanda's biopic, then... ;)

[deleted] 1 point on 2014-08-12 02:39:13

I know this is super late, but I was browsing teh interwebz when I happened upon this clip of Tina Fey acting in 30 Rock that immediately set my imagination on overdrive...
