Need advice. (self.zoophilia)

Ok, family has taken the plunge and has decided to get a large breed dog. I just need to find a way to convince them to get a female. Exactly what can I do to convince them? Because honestly the only reason I want the female is so I can have a partner.

You can say it's because you like their personalities better or you think a female would be less aggressive and easier to train. If possible, work to become financially independent so you can make your own decisions in the future.

Totally agree. Getting caught is BAD. Real BAD.

Having a female has it's own set of issues. Intact females have something similar to a period, meaning they bleed out of their vagina. This reason and zealous "cut your dog's balls off" campaigning probably means that she'll be spayed, meaning no sex. No sexual interest and no penetration. Nothing.

I agree. However, given that OP has had sexual contact with the other (male) family dog, I assume his family is not into spay/neuter.

Yeah. It's not because they aren't into it. It's cause he's so weak he'll die if they put him under to do it. He was born missing one of his lungs.

Oh ok. Sorry to hear about his condition. If the female dog gets spayed, she will likely not have any sexual desire and sex may be impossible.

I know it seems like a long time before you will have your own place and your own dogs, there is a silver lining. If your parents end up getting a spayed female, you'll get the opportunity to have a great nonsexual relationship with her.

That is a pretty good silver lining.

I turned 18 at the beginning of the year. It will be a long time till I can get enough money to live on my own.

i always said i would be worried he'd lift a leg in the house, but if you already have one male dog, i'm not sure how well that'd work as an argument.

It's probably worth mentioning that dogs of different sexes almost always cohabitate better than those of the same sex, who are more likely to fight.

I understand how it feels to wait, to so desperately want to share intimacy while knowing that it's so far off. But keep in mind that the quality of your relationship may be better if you wait until you live alone. What if she prefers others to you, for example? What's more, if you're not able to solely decide matters of her health, your requests may come off as unusual. I'm not saying that you shouldn't try, but it doesn't seem like a wise decision to me, not to mention the heightened risk of being caught.

Even if financial independence seems like a daunting prospect, you may have the drive required to achieve it if you know it means you'll be able to find love and passion. Just give that a little thought before you do something you regret.

I wish you the best of luck in whichever choice you make.
