Hello!
I'm pleased to inform you that /r/zoosexuality is now in our hands. Messages have been sent to all those who asked about gaining access, whose words lay unread in the abandoned mod mail inbox until today. It was inactive because its only mod deleted their account, and presumably made it private before doing so to prevent spam. I've now set it to restricted until we decide what should be done with it, though you're more than welcome to have a look around in the meantime to see it frozen in time, as it was.
Of course, I'm putting the decision to the community: what should be done with the sub? I see a couple options:
1) The sub should be left for future need. It should be made private again and with a message to use /r/zoophilia until that need becomes apparent.
2) It should be used for a specific (long term!) purpose that /r/zoophilia does not already cover. I have examples but would rather you brainstorm, because a "yeah, let's do that, whatever" attitude is far from ideal in the face of good fortune like this.
Of course there are other options, but those are the two that came to my mind. Please, tell me what you think and offer up your suggestions; we mustn't squander this rare opportunity.
~ T-V
Edit: 3) It is also possible to have a redirect set up, like this.
Edit: Option 1 won out and has been put into effect.
first option seems great :D
Man, your edit is what I would love to see happen with /r/beastility :p
I'd be in favor of #1 (leave it private, with a message directing visitors to this sub). Since there's only ten really old posts there, I don't see the value of keeping it open.
\#1 gets my vote

I can understand why /r/zoogold exists; electricfoxx said that it's beneficial to have a private sub for zoos to talk about what they wouldn't want to say 'publicly'. The trouble is, most of us either use reddit only for zoo content, or have multiple accounts, with one being dedicated to zoo.
So although it makes sense, I think reddit's anonymity and use of throwaways weaken its usefulness in reality.
At least that's what they should be doing.
Pseudo-private groups give people false sense of security and encourage bad practice. Then once it reaches a number of members it becomes a joke.
How do you get into /r/zoogold, just ask?
Yeah, just send a mod message.
By preference, #3, then #1.
As for a specific use, I'd suggest a moderator approved posting site for collecting useful, unbiased examples of pro or neutral zoo writings, resources, links to video and so forth. I'd also like to see the gathering of pro-zoo media, and "promotional" material where we could get to it when needed for the purpose of defending or explaining zoosexuality. Resources that could be used both for legal defence and with media outlets.
Not that I expect a whole lot of that to happen.
Additional edit: By moderator approval I mean only stuff that has been submitted to a moderator and been approved as to the quality and suitability to the mission statement of the sub... A bit of work, but you could get a few folks together for that to help filter. Not sure we need to fragment the community into more pieces, enough forums and such for that already. :)
It was actually just yesterday that I asked whether a zoo media repository sub would be a good idea, but figured that it'd be easier just to post here, and took the proposal down.
As for fragmentation, that is of concern to me as well. I don't generally believe much good can come from segmenting the zoo community, though there may be ways around that.
I think just a stickied topic here for zoo media would be a good idea.
Is there a way you could leave it frozen, but add a sticky that links here?
There's a couple replies on there people took the time to write, why delete anything?
I wasn't planning on deleting anything, just making it private again.
But yes, that is doable.
I know, but might as well be if no one can read them.
I can't really say anything towards the possible use. A redirect to both /r/zoophilia and /r/bestiality along with a note how zoosexuality should the be umbrella term makes sense in a logical context. But chances are low much people would stumble upon it.
That said, I would like to request access if it is private, just because ;)
i'm curious enough i'd like to be added, too. as far as what to do with it, as was mentioned in an earlier thread, i think it spreads things so thin when we don't have a lot of people here, even, so yeah, i like the idea of leaving it alone and redirecting here.

What are some examples for the second option that you came up with? The only useful thing I can think of is a redirect to here and /r/bestiality maybe.
The only thing that came to mind for me was a place to archive relevant zoo documents, as suggested by /u/Yearningmice.
I do not have much of a say in this as I am not a zoo, but in my research trying to understand zoophilies perspective on the whole issue, I found almost no resources on the safety of sexual activities with animals. I mean most of the time yes it is safe, but there are some safety hazards that zoophilia communities should be made aware of. There have been cases where people have died because they did not know they were allergic to their dogs... you know... stuff. People have died from internal bleeding after experimenting with their horses as well. There also seems to be few resources on where to draw the line between zoophilia and zoosodomy, and there may be confusion to some people at what point it is not okay (animals that are too small, etc.). I think it could be beneficial to turn the /r/zoosexuality specifically into a place to address education about sexual activities with animals specifically, to allow for a better safe place to look into what people should know before just jumping into experimentation. I feel the education about zoophilia topics is lacking in places, and this could be an area to suffice and increase education. What do you all think?
How can i get in? I know its a private subreddit but i want in.
grumbles alright. Done.
Edit: Please don't up/downvote, comment or submit anything.
As of now?
As of now?
I think we should keep it up and not change anything. I think it should be a safe, non-hostile place for zoophilies to talk about there expierences without bieng attack by non zoophilies. this is the only good site i know about where i feel i can safely talk about it without bieng scared
Oh its zoosexuality. Forget what i said
