As I'm sure most of you noticed, /r/zoophilia reached 2000 readers last week. I've been thinking about what I should say, and ultimately I want to thank all of you. Thank you for participating here and thank you for bringing cohesion and unity to a sexuality that is both marginalised and factionalised. Thank you for the time you spend to make this community function as it should.
I also want to give you all this sentiment, expressed by an old zoo at an obscure 2015 New Year's celebration on an antiquated talker. I think he's correct, which means there are two roads this community, and zoos as a whole, can travel: we can either commit ourselves to openness, or we can remain isolated but ensure we know each other well enough to ensure some stable foundation to hold on to as times get rougher as it seems they are. For as long as bestiality is illegal (with the criminalisation in Spain showing no sign of retreat on that front) the first option isn't a valid one, and therefore I propose the second. This may be reddit but I'm sure we can get to know each other better than simply recognising a username and some vaguely consistent opinions.
I would suggest we grow accustomed to talking to each other one-on-one more often, be that through PM, skype or some variety of IM. Ultimately, whether or not you choose to heed the advice is up to you, but personally I do not see a better future without better communication. I disagree with Peta... The youngens seem to be doing pretty well actually.
I think the old folks are a little full of themselves, to be completely honest, they are not being included in the new bonds that are forming for the most part. That is a shame.
I'm more than happy to talk to anyone as well. We might not get to the "trust" stage but I'm always happy to chat about life. I also feel that these dire predictions are over stated. It has been illegal here for my entire life and I did just fine...
I get the sense of some of them being full of themselves too, but there's validity to what's being said, I think. They may want them kids off their damn lawn, but they're always welcome here as well, taking a leaf from your book perhaps.

well I'd rather not use skype but you kind find me in the zoophiles forum chatroom most nights if you want to chat.
Peta and TV definitely are definitely spot on in what they are talking about. Let me tell you guys, talking on skype has been a very very big networking boost for me, as I have gotten to personally know a lot of people through it. Hopefully Microsoft will fix some of the current issues with Skype, but for now it looks to be the wave of the future for us. Everyone is on it and I think everyone who wants to meet other zoos should get it. That all being said, TV is a great guy to talk to. There are a lot of great people out there so long as you find them. My skype username is grumpyd0g, just to put it out there.
I am not so active on /r/zoophilia, but I am very active on Knotty.me so I also urge newcomers looking for some understanding(it is not a porn board, mind you) and those who have questions.
Also, a tip for meeting people:
Find a forum such as knotty.me and become a regular there.
PM other regulars introducing yourself. Include contact information to chat privately(such as skype) so that you can pursue a better friendship :)
I think it really is that simple, and I have made many friends just by doing that. It is really nice to be able to jump on my phone and see lots of people I know chatting together in a big group chat, and knowing we all have the ability to be completely open with each other. And also that I have the ability to chat one on one and develop closer relationships with those I consider good friends.

PSA: If you add me or anyone else on Skype, make sure you announce how you found my username and that you are a Zoophile or curious about Zoophilia. I get spam accounts that add me at times, such as last night, and if you don't tell me how you know me I will assume you are spam and block you.
