Panpipe's Full Moon Howl (self.zoophilia)
submitted 2015-01-23 02:07:28 by Yearningmice

I'd like to announce the Panpipe talker's first official Full Moon Howl. Sunday Feb 1st, 2015 @ 8pm Central Time (Monday Feb 2nd @ 3am UT) Theme for the month: Zoophile Rights day

I am going to try to get all us zoos to meet up and talk once a month. I will announce and hold the full moon howl on the full moon of every month. Following the moon will move the howl around to weekdays and weekends so we all get a chance no matter our schedules. This month we are going to do it a little early with a theme to celebrate ZRD(Zoophile rights day). We can get together and talk about our past and our future! Hopefully around midnight our European friends can start joining us and tell us how it went.

I'd like to thank the proprietors for allow us to hold our howls there.

What you need to join the chat? First, the address. According to the rules of the site we cannot share the address publicly so ask a zoo you know, or PM me if you think I've seen you around. Second, a computer that can telnet(all of them and many tablets and phones can) or a client to access the talkers. GMUD for windows and Linux, and MUDlet for the Mac are good choices. The clients make life a lot easier. Third, when you first connect you will be prompted for a user name, type one you'd like and if no one else has it, it's yours! You will then create a password to go with it. Fourth, talk, you're done!

I really like this, thank you Fleh.

Alright, that's genius. Due to the time zone conflict I won't be around till midnight (CST) or so, and I might not be able to stay long unless the full moon falls on a Friday or Saturday.

I'd like to thank the proprietors for allow us to hold our howls there.

Seconded.

we cannot share the address publicly so ask a zoo you know

The same goes for me; PM me or message me on Skype if you're interested in the details.

Its Telnet (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Telnet) so it ould me anyhere ;) Times are given in CST and UTC so you can convert them easily.

No worries. It doesn't matter where it is, 8pm CST is midnight UT(in england) time zones! Just think of it as being in the central time zone here in N.America and adjust to your local.

ZRD is worldwide although most of us are too scared to do much outside of the group in Germany. That's why I mentioned my hope that Monday brings news to us here.

Telnet? Not seen that in a long time. Does it support SSH these days?

SteveLebrasky 2 points on 2015-01-24 13:40:45

Not that i would know. Normally Telnet even sends out the Passphrases in clean, wonderful text. So if your paranoid (or just want to be secure), I wouldn't recommend it.

On the other Hand it even works on a Comodore 64 (just kidding).

Personally and just for Chats I would recommend a Chatroom inside of IRC (connected of course with SSH).

For private chats i would suggest Tox (just on the Peer to Peer base, the Groupchats are not encrypted)!

Not that I am aware of. So no plotting to overthrow the government. It might be worth while talking to the owners of the site about that. I understand it can be done.

As for telnet, yea, the only reason I've used it in the last 10 years is because I teach some courses that have unix workstations and the like. Real people don't use telnet anymore. :)

I love the fact that ZRD even exists! I was wondering how i could get involved in this chat. I know that i'm new to Reddit, but i've never had interest in Reddit til i found this post. If anyone has the address to the event please pm me.
