Gene Splicing/Editing/Insertion: Human Hybrids (self.zoophilia)

Gene Insertion allows one to add a gene to an animal. The first/only commercial product is an growth hormone releasing hormone (GHRH) plasmid gene for Swine: SW LifeTide which increases the number of piglets in a litter (and a small reduction of fat and a small increase in muscle). How many reddit users (not just users on this subreddit) think they would like to use this gene technology on themselves in order to potentially say grow say fur on their bodies, deer antlers ect? How about giving animals traits that might increase their intelligence so much so that they could consent almost the way primates and dolphins have high intelligence.
I'd only accept that treatment if it was entirely safe and would actually make me a complete anthropomorphic animal (such as in typical furry art) rather than partially, like catgirls in anime. It would also have to be functional, since not having a thumb would be kind of a pain in the ass.
The idea of artificially increasing an animal's intelligence seems kind of weird and just reminds me of Flowers for Algernon.
We all know how it'll end.. that aside, I really want that horsecock and balls!
I am not holding my breath but Yes Please! You can add me to the list for a set of sexy stallion junk.
I'm imagining a District 9 type scenario. The homo sapiens and the anthros living in segregated communities, but a few from each group crosses the border to indulge in the exoticism of the other group.
... only if you bring me cat-food! :P
I wonder whether they would've liked this just as much...
vegetarian cat food. Youve gotta be kidding....
So true, that cats need to eat meat to survive. Dogs do not need meat, and can go without meat with no adverse effects
Have you heard of many cats who have been fed with this and quickly died as a result?
Malnutrition does not happen quickly.
So how long would it be and does anyone know about cats that this happened to?
Deleted, I did not read everything.
Well, what they sell is not rice, it's preprocessed food specially engineered for cats.
Deleted because I did not see someone's link
Can you cite a scientific paper about that? I've been looking for evidence of that for a while now, but the only claims I've seen on the topic have been by people with clear biases. (For example, being vegetarian like myself. :P)
I can't cite one. I'm just going by what I have seen or heard. But I did see a website that mentioned some early explorers bringing horses to Antarctica in hopes of going to the south pole, and that the horses seemed to prefer meat (meant for the explorers) to the grain (meant for the horses). I though this was fake, but apparently it is not. Just google south pole horses. I see this as further evidence to dogs having a vegetarian diet. The horses died and were eaten, but someone needs to make a Balto-type movie on this (eight below sucked in my opinion)
My bad, I did not see your link due to my computer screen being titled (it just looked like black text on my screen instead of being a blue link). I have never seen Corn gluten on human products though I see wheat gluten as a substitute for meat in human veterinarian dishes very often (I had some this week).
Just saying the current technology actually exists (no gmo animals are allowed to be used in food in the USA, gmo plants and medicine yes just not animals). Examples: GMO Cattle with lots of muscle because they were given the "gene" from the naturally muscular Belgium Blue cattle(wrong term because it is DNA between genes, but same idea), this was in 2013 so any website that said Belgium Blue cattle were genetically modified is false.
Horses given lifetide, gained more then 24 pounds of muscle, and healed faster (the horses were recruited because they had Laminitis). The gene was targeted so that it would only effect muscle, and not other tissues. Lifetide website: http://www.vgxah.com/LifetideSW5.html
Where do I sign?
As much as I love fur Im very attached to my human form, Not really down for any animal parts lol, Tho smarter animals would be great I'm down for that.
If you increased the intelligence of animals prepare for the dairy and meat industries to get a court case :3
Having a tail would be really neat.
Especially since humans have a tail bone, similar to the bone in horses (just looked this up now on Wikipedia, I knew apes had one but not horses). And human growth hormone promotes bone growth and one can with current technology have a HGH gene plasmids that only effects certain bones, meaning no side effects like diabetes, or a Barry Bonds like head growth.
