Interesting. I would note that this survey is about people's sexual fantasies, not necessarily the actual acts. That aside, however, I love that fantasies of sexual acts with animals are about equally well liked between men and women compared with that most erroneously linked of paraphilias, attraction to young children. Also, why is strangulation/asphyxiation so much high on the list for the women than the men?

This survey doesn't look randomly sampled at all, so I wouldn't give it too much thought. :P About 1/4 of the participants aren't heterosexual, which isn't an accurate representation of the general population at all.

Also, 70+ participants were under 17, so they're obviously going to want to have sex with people who are underaged like them. Still interesting to see that 10% have had fantasies about animals.

I dont get this kind of 'throw the baby out with the bathwater' mentality. This survey doesnt try to hide the demographics and it doesnt claim to be a representation of the general public. All it is to me is a survey to be taken at face value from which to draw your own conclusions.

I'd write more but im just heading out. maybe tomorrow.

I get that this survey shouldn't be cited for anything at face value, considering the sampling bias likely to be there. I'm just commenting on the results as if they were accurate, because if I just assume they aren't and then dismiss them even as a hypothetical, there's nothing to discuss about them. And that would be boring.

Thank you. I'm the creator of the survey and graph and what you're saying is spot on. I only wanted to put the data I retrieved out there for people to see and come to their own conclusions. It should not be taken as scientific data as I only perform these surveys as a hobby because I love data and statistics.

Thanks for the survey, it's interesting to see results like this.

Hi, thx for the survey from me, too.

Could you tell us more about it? Circumstances, or further results you looked into, and so on?

oh hey, welcome to /r/zoophilia :P

Yeah I think its actually a pretty relevant survey for us seeing as its so difficult to get a solid answer when it comes to any question involving human/animal relationships. Partly due to the fact that no-one wants to ask that question in the first place, so thanks for adding it in.

Thank you for making the survey even if it is not perfect, because no survey is perfect even when multiple people put thousands of dollars, and hundreds of hours into it.

Oh, I wasn't trying to discredit the whole thing, just pointing out that the "attraction to young children" and "attraction to adolescents category might be skewed because a lot of participants were themselves underaged.

What we see on this survey in regards to zoophilia is pretty accurate, considering that other surveys have shown similar statistics.

With beauty like this it still amazes me that that number isn't higher, and dogs aren't even the animal I'm most attracted to.

Anyways, it's curious to note that people seem quite decided on bestiality. It's the subject where the grey area (or brown area, as it were) really starts to disappear. It gives me the impression that these people had thought of it beforehand, but that's just speculation, I'm no statistician.

I got a response from a non-zoo to that image that was to the effect of "If I had to fuck a dog, I think it would be that dog. I think it's the eyes."
