that was my biggest problem when reading the book. he said he got high regularly during that time, but perceived there to be telepathy going on ... i'm sorry, you don't see a connection there? i guess weed isn't a hallucinogen, but i still think he's just a tiny bit ... uh ... out there, shall we say.
