The comments on that are actually looking pretty good so far. A couple zoos telling their stories and a couple people defending them (aside from the usual haters that is).

I just ignore them. I almost never comment on news articles anyway.

I guess I'd classify "haters" in the normal way. If an anti-zoo (which, let's face it, is the standard opinion) says stuff like "why do you do that/feel that way about animals, aren't you worried for the animal's safety, what is your justification for this", that's constructive criticism, and discussions like that should be encouraged. But if they just spout stuff like "you are a terrible monster, you're sick and deserve to die/go to jail", they're a hater, and they deserve to be ignored.

Discussion = good; vehement, unsolicited hatred = bad. As the saying goes, don't feed the trolls.
