Zoosexuality FB page (self.zoophilia)
submitted 2015-04-16 17:25:15 by Stealthtyper Big Cats and Dogs, Reptiles

I'm making a second thread about this as last time I had just created the page and it had like 25 people liking the page. Things have changed a lot in my opinion. There are now over 300 likes and it gets 25-50 likes in a week nowdays. From what I have looked at some of the people who have liked the page they are genuine profiles with peoples own names. There are some "porn accounts" too, but they are quite rare.

I moderate all posts quite heavily and try to keep the page informative about what Zoosexuality is actually all about. No porn is allowed. It's more like a "I'm out and I support this" kind of page. What staggers me is the number of people that have liked the page. In my last post me and a few of you guys were surprised that it had even 25 likes. I didn't personally expect much more either.

I'm mainly bringing this up again, because I'm not sure what to do with the page. Should I just keep it clean and informative and let it grow on it's own like I have done now, or do any of you guys have any ideas? Any and all suggestions are more than welcome.

Here's a link to the page if you want to take a look at it:

Far far braver than me. I'd love to I really would, but I actually use my facebook to talk to people. Oh man, imagining their reactions...I'd be ruined.

My own family reacted quite well and I'm open about it if someone asks. I also carry a pin on my shirt of the 'Zoosexuality logo'. (The one that's on the page as a profile picture.) I guess I'm just lucky.

I feel the need to clarify that I didn't bring this page up for advertising or getting more likes. I really don't care about those that much. I only care about spreading -correct- information about Zoosexuality. There aren't too many people that know that there even is a deep emotional side to Zoosexuality. I want to change that. At least be a part of it.

Family and friends I guess I could handle if it got out, I'm more worried about future job prospects. Especially in this day and age where everything digital is recorded indefinitely.

Im happy its working out for you and the others in the group. This is how change happens.

also, where'd you get the pin?

I ordered it from a site called 'Zazzle' Here's a link to it.

TL;DR: Click the link.

If you type any Zoo related searches it will find some stuff with the logo on it. Some user has made and shared them. I'm not sure how it exactly works, but it seems a user can submit their own custom order for other customers to order too, but I'm not sure about that. You can make them yourself too if you have a hi-res image. I've been pleased about their products and they ship internationally. I have a shirt with the 'Zeta' logo as well.

I love it when someone asks what is the pins meaning. I've almost always gotten positive reactions after they have listened to me and realized that the sex isn't the main thing for me. It's the love, affection and long-term partnership that's important. I think it's very important that even some people see that this really is a thing and that I'm not alone. It's a sexuality and I can't change it even if I wanted to. It's not a lot, but... Baby steps!

I think you should continue to expand it and add good zoo links to the facebook page.

That's what I was planning to do. Thank you for your input.

Wish I felt comfortable joining you. A few suggestions, contact folks like the ask-a-zoosexual group on Tumblr, zeta verin, and blog owners and see if you can get material contributed, don't post in bursts but spread it out. Think of it a lot like a blog. Keep it clean and really really look at FB's policies because the prudes will use any rule to attack you. If you can maybe make the member list private? So at least a witch hunt would have to work at it.

I can't seem to make the member list private, but luckily there hasn't been much 'haters' around. I've only encountered one so far.

I'll try to look into Tumblr. I don't have an account yet, but that's easily fixed.

Anyhow, thank you a lot for the input. I'll try my best.

Wow Facebook, that's low! Telling me I can't "connect" with my sexuality if I don't use their product!

Sapphire_seam Equus 1 point on 2015-04-20 06:00:43
