Hi, I've been lurking here for the last several months and finally decided to make an account today. So first of all hello! And thank you to the entire community for teaching me so much and being kind, welcoming and a great source of information.

I wanted to bring up the topic of birds, and ask if anyone else has a special fondness for these feathery little dinosaurs(; I havent seen much written about them in the zoo community. I made a post about it on beast forum once but people jumped all over me (clearly without reading my entire post) about how I'm abusing and hurting my birds.

It is completely true that any kind of penetration would kill or AT LEAST seriously injure the bird. However there are MANY ways of sharing a mutually pleasurable sexual experience that don't involve penetration or harming the bird in any way. I'm a female anyway, and male birds (besides some water fowl) don't have penises, and I have no desire to insert anything into them.

I have had many birds over the years but in the last 5 years my focus has been pigeons. Out of the 30+ plus pigeons I've kept, I have been sexually intimate with three, two cocks (male pigeon) and one hen. They were the animals that first made me realize I was a zoo, though I didn't have a name for it then.

I was watching their elaborate courtship rituals one day and found myself becoming extremely aroused. My first non human relationship was with a gorgeous pure white cock named Lucky. He was going through pigeon late adolescence, it was spring time and he was super horny. He was a very sweet good tempered bird I'd spent a lot of time working with and he knew two commands via whitle "come to me" and "go home" . We bonded a lot during this process and he would frequently ride around on my shoulder or head singing to me. As he became sexually mature he started to show interest in me as a mate. He would dance in circles, bow and coo longingly.

Having spent a lot of time watching my flock's behavior I knew what he was wanting. Pigeons are VERY affectionate, not at all like chickens (who's sex is often very rape ish in my experience and doesn't look like much fun for the hen) they spend a lot of time preening and kissing each other. It sounds weird but I can't think of a better word for it then kissing.

After some deliberation about ethics I decided there was little chance that he would suffer ill effects from my accepting his advances. I figured I could always stop if it was negatively impacting his relations with the other birds.So I went for it, I gave him beak "kisses" with my fingers which he loved. That was all the signal he needed, I was his girl from then on.

It was a beautiful and unique relationship, like nothing id ever experienced. He went almost every where with me perched on my shoulder, giving me kisses on my ears cheeks and lips. Most people found this adorable, and did not suspect anything was "wrong" with our relationship.

I only let him mount me in private though of corse ;) our actual sex was pretty tame but very sexy. He would mount my hand rub himself on me. His climaxes were super cute, he'd pant and flap his wings and cum a surprising amount for such a small animal. Sorry if that's too graphic for this sub, I can take it out.

The feeling of the wind caressing my hair and back as he churned the air with his wings before landing was a real thrill, like and angel had put his arms around me. Watching him fly was a joy beyond compare, seeing him circle hundreds of feet above me with his flock I could experience the sensations of flight vicariously.

Tragically, durning one such magical moment he was taken out of the air by a hawk, and I never saw my boy again. I was heartbroken and I still miss him terribly. It's the worst part of pigeon keeping, the most helpless feeling imaginable seeing your love snatched away before your eyes with no power to do anything but watch and scream.

It's an inevitable risk of the hobby, you lose birds sometimes. Unless you keep them caged all the time, but then what would be the point?

Anyway, I'd love to hear about other people's experiences with avian love, or thoughts on the matter in general. Hope some of you found this interesting!
