World zoo (self.zoophilia)

Does anyone else have a feeling that the most part entire world like zoophillia but won't admit it? Or in that case if knot (pun) do you think at least all the people who like clop and yiff also secretly like zoophillia?

I don't know about the whole world... but I do think there are A LOT more people who "experiment" with animals growing up than will admit it.

I had a non-zoo friend online actually confirm this suspicion when I came out to him, he admitted he had actually "played around" with his dog growing up but decided it wasn't for him.

And there are also a lot more closet zoos than we know, I am sure.

I agree with this statement. Plenty of people have been open to the idea but decided they would not go down that path. Be it because of social stigma that has (ironically?) been generated around it or because they decided they just weren't into it. A friend I came out to in real life also said something along these lines, that she would "help" her female dog. Though she in no way identifies as zoosexual either.

I think that both incidence and prevalence of sexual activity with animals are underreported, but even then the numbers are staggering. For instance, in Hunt's 1974 study of general sexual behavior (cited by Miletski, haven't read the actual study), incidence was 4.9% for men (n=982) and 1.9% for women (n=1044) in the United States. This has probably decreased a bit with urbanization since then, but let's take a 2% incidence rate for the whole U.S. population the sake of argument. That means that, roughly speaking, six million people in the U.S. have engaged in sexual activity with an animal. It's extremely difficult to tell how many of them did it multiple times or even habitually, but given the numbers of people on beastforum alone, it's likely to be in the hundreds of thousands at least.

That makes sense and is inline with what I pictured actually...

I wish we could just motivate that community a bit more towards positive change, but we must keep in mind that's hard to do: A good many of those may not even consider themselves "zoophiles" or even looked up the term online to know what it is...

I do think the prevalent rate of zoophilia is higher in those that clop and yiff verses the general population simply because both involve animals and sex.

Im not a zoo so I have to ask...what that hell is clop and yiff??

HeartBeatOfTheBeast Hoof and Claw 2 points on 2015-05-06 22:05:12

Yiff is a name for furry porn. Furry Porn, is porn in which the subjects in the porn have the traits of animals, for example werewolves having sex. Clop is MLP porn. MLP stands for My little Pony. MLP Porn would sexualize the characters from the tv show MLP Friendship Is Magic.

coyotedrift Zoo Friendly 3 points on 2015-05-06 22:09:30

Ok, now the only logical question invading my brain is, if the furries and bronies dont associate with zoophiles but like this classification of porn, who are they trying to fool?

PS I knew these two groups had related porn, i just thought it was "furry porn" and "brony porn" I didnt know there were other names for it...

HeartBeatOfTheBeast Hoof and Claw 5 points on 2015-05-06 22:40:47

Well I think furries and bronies draw the line at loving actual animals. While some porn might involve "ferals" (animals) I don't think many associate with zoophiles because of the stigma attached to zoophilia.

who are they trying to fool?

Themselves, it seems like. If you look in the right circles you can find a curiously large amount of comments like "I'm not a zoophile but that dog is sexy".

notatallexpected 2 points on 2015-05-11 17:45:23

If anthropomorphics were real, you could call the people who loved them "furryphiles" or something. But they're not real, so it's not a real sexual preference. It's just a porn genre halfway between human and animal. Some furries are zoos, but the majority are human-lovers.

Applejack_Apple Speakin' in fancy! 1 point on 2015-05-08 00:33:12

I can only speak for myself, but as a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, and a fan of the clop material, I'm not fooling anyone, including myself. I know I find horse private bits sexy as hell. I prefer my pony porn with anatomically correct genitalia. I think there's no shortage of MLP fans who have made the jump to the zoo ship.

Anyway, the term 'clop' comes from the human 'fap'. It's an onomatopoeia of the noise a creature with hooves would presumably make if it masturbated like humans do.

They're sort of like punctuation marks. When you encounter these in a sentence, it means "stop reading this post immediately and jump to next user comment".

I think Kinsey claimed sex with animals got as high as 50% in rural USA in the 1940s, but that could easily be the "prison gay" effect. I'd suspect it's closer to 10%, just like homosexuality (surveys show only 1-2% call themselves gay, but 10% of men have sex with men, so I'd assume the same for us).

Rannoch2002 Deer Zoo 2 points on 2015-05-06 21:10:21

Kinsey claimed "1 in 3 in rural areas." He never really elaborated beyond that though.

Yearningmice 2 points on 2015-05-07 00:42:49

The figure I saw in his research was as high as 17% in rural areas. I agree that heavy petting is much more prevalent than suspected.

Rannoch2002 Deer Zoo 1 point on 2015-05-07 00:47:12

Hmm... I'm admittedly going by a quote from the documentary "Animal Passions" (they used the 1 in 3 number if I recall) and not the Kinsey research itself, so you would probably be right, especially if you went to the source... lol.

I took a shortcut. ;)

Hm. I was sure I'd heard 50%. Here we go, middle of the third paragraph.

Seems legit. Thanks!

I think that zoophilia and really a lot of so called "deviant" sexual behavior is more common then anyone thinks. Many won't even admit what they like to themselves though so it is hard to really understand how pervasive it is. That being said I think there are a lot more furries into zoophilia then would ever openly admit it. I think it is a bigger part of the fandom then anyone realizes.

I think it is a lot more common as everyone thinks but due to the negative reputation you recieve only a small minority stands to it.

[deleted] 1 point on 2015-05-08 01:50:51

We'd all like to think there's more of us out there, but the point is we don't have the data to prove it. I try not to think about it too much then.

I tried searching to see what kinds of statistics there are for how many pets get neutered per annum. Couldn't find anything. But it seems to be happening on a large scale, and, at least in some circles, it's considered the "proper" thing to do. I would be a little suspicious about how many "closet zoos" there are if there was evidence of significantly less spayings every year...
