Former GOP house majority leader. - And that's why the US is going to shit. Because of funny airheads like these who scare themselves with shit they make up themselves and then need to fight it.

After I rewatched the interview a few times, I guess this guy knows he´s telling lies. There´s too much blinking of the eyes, he raises his eyebrows at one point, as if he says " Yeah, really, believe me" and shakes his head on another point, his subconscious saying "No,no,no, this is a lie". Note how quickly this fast blinking stops when he stops talking. This fast blinking thing is often done by untrained liars when they tell lies. His words and mimic don´t fit...just my amateur psychologist opinion...;)

Wow! From a European POV, in `Murica indeed everything is bigger....even the insanity in (ex-?)politicians...but the one comment underneath made me nearly crap myself from laughing, saying that he got his Christmas wish list mixed in somehow...;)

The sad part: these stoopid shit scare tactics work! I´d really like to know whether he actually believes the BS he´s telling.

I so wish this Memo was real and legalized zoophilia (or at least that part of the memo not sure on the other parts), but it is almost certainly false.

The reason I posted this link is because I thought it would be interesting to see if we could get a feel for how the public would respond to the subject of "legalized zoophilia". There have been quite a few threads about it in this reddit topic. In this case, we unfortunately get first billing, before even pedophilia. Polygamy, who cares-- Everyone knows that should be legal since, after all, half the Bible characters had a string of wives and concubines.

Now, I have a hypothetical: What if a guy gets hauled before a judge, and he's accused of bestiality. Everyone assumes he's going to get the book thrown at him, right? But what if he said "I have AIDS and I got it from some hot chick. Since I'm a male and I need sex like anyone else for my mental health and my right to happiness, I've been avoiding spreading HIV to women. Women like your daughters, your Honor. Sheep cant get or spread human HIV so I'm saving lives here. Ban me from sheep and you'll be sentencing 10 women to death once I get out of the maximum 1 year jail you can give me for bestiality."

How would that play out? Hum?

Fiction may have this disadvantage of being a straw man, but perhaps we should all write some stories about loving interspecies fun?

because I thought it would be interesting to see if we could get a feel for how the public would respond to the subject of "legalized zoophilia"

And you think this is one would provoke a rational response? One half will be "conspiratards" who "always knew" that the secret plan of the government was to destroy heterosexuality and the other half will be people "defending" gay marriage saying there is no such slippery slope, because "it's different, because animals can not consent".

All these people are unintentionally poisoning the well. There are so many people repeating these two points again and again and again and again that there's hardly any room for a rational look at zoophilia.
