I'm posting this for two reasons.

1)
It got mentioned here by me: https://np.reddit.com/r/zoophilia/comments/39raji/that_guy_in_arkansas/?ref=search_posts and here https://np.reddit.com/r/zoophilia/comments/3bmb4h/ark_man_charged_with_bestiality_arrested_after/.
Some people seemed to rather quickly jump on his side, but I thought we should wait and see. With the new child porn stuff I think that was the right decision. Although I'm still waiting until he is actually convicted of it or if it's just another rumor that got out of hand.

2)
The "journalism".

Do you think that Ford should be released from jail? What charges do you believe he should face along with what penalty? Should he ever be permitted to have contact with children or animals? Please leave your answers below.

Seriously, WTF?

Of course, bestiality is a form of animal abuse and people engaging in such a horrific act need to be punished.

Very nicely done, keeping your objectivity there.

An 18-year-old woman named Ashley Miller was charged with two counts of sexual activities involving animals after Bradenton, Florida, investigators found she was engaging in sexual activity with a dog. After Miller’s arrest, she posted $1,000 bond,

What's with articles so often mentioning unrelated cases? Do they always do that? When reporting about someone stealing, just throwing random other cases where people stole something in there?

according to an article in the Inquisitr.

Uhm... they are basically saying "according to us", but are too lazy to include an actual reference? What?

Unfortunately, judging zoos by the worst amongst us is not something that will go away. It's similar to the way heterosexuals are judged by the rapists of women, serial killers, men who throw seamen on their co-workers, and the rapists of children....

Oh, wait a minute, that doesn't happen. Welcome to the minority.

Sadly, every person who isn't squeaky clean, or appears so outwardly, will probably have both kiddie porn and bestiality on their computers. You can hardly swing your dick on the internet without finding it and if you already have the bad taste not to think things through it gets stuck on the rest of us.

To me, this is a weird case, as the guy actually went back after his dog which isn't something you often see. Lawyers would tell you to hide yourself and pretend like it doesn't mean anything to you so you can get less of a sentence. Not sure what that says about him, especially when you consider the other facts of the case.

I'm no longer willing to jump to judgements of murders based on recent experiences with journalists, why should I believe a damn thing they say about an animal humper?

Playing Devil's Advocate here: Do you think he should not be punished for bestiality but should be punished for having child porn?

At this point, it depends. Is the "child porn" of a 17 year old? Is it one of those cases where I wouldn't be able to be sure she was underage? Or is it full on kiddie porn? Did he download animal porn and get something with a kid in it?

I have issues with the mere existence of a file on a computer as proof of anything, but it is evidence of a pattern of behaviour which may be bad. Like the news article your question is assuming he had a stash of porn of violent rape of children.

What I do think is that he should have his day in court, be judged by what he actually did in a reasonable and fair manner. For example, if I were to get caught there would be zero evidence of any harm to anyone and hopefully no porno(caches are the devil I don't DL porno) I think the law, based in morality, is wrong.
