I guess beast/zoo news articles make for sensational news even when fake.

What news isn't fabricated to some extent these days?

Basically news just tells you the part of the story they want you to hear, the part that sells. They often leave out important details because they can and because it will sell.

I think they simply put zero effort into researching anything about the topic they write about.
Not only are they regurgitating a fake news article, the paragraph at the end is wrong in multiple ways: "Spreading bestiality brothels" in germany was pretty much a myth. Animal porn wasn't illegal. Distributing animal porn was illegal. Sex with animals has been made illegal about 2 years before this article was written.

I knew this story was fake the moment I saw it months ago; the GA Aquarium doesn't even have walruses. So there's no way for it to possibly be true. I'm pretty sure the original source for the walrus story was a satire site, but people didn't understand that and kept spreading it.

It was fake and frankly I hope the woman whose picture they used sues their asses.
Another recent fake news story (thankfully, as it's more about animal cruelty): http://thugvirals.com/florida-man-arrested-for-having-sex-with-an-alligator/ - (even the sheriff's office posted about it)
Yet another recent fake news story (again, thankfully): https://linkbeef.com/3-farmers-arrested-in-wales-for-running-sheep-brothel/

Just take this as an example: http://en.protothema.gr/bestiality-on-the-rise-men-arrested-for-operating-animal-brothel/
