Well we decided the topic ourselves, but our teacher was very enthusiastic about our choice.

It is in a mix between biology and english. And we have about the world of sexuality. So we chose our topic to be about zoophilia.

3. I started to figure out that I was a zoophile when I was around 16 years old. Debates around the ethics of zoophilia online was part of why I started to analyse my own feelings for canines. I knew I could certainly see if a wolf was attractive/beautiful or not. I'm mostly non-practicing zoophile, except for that one time...

5. I've told my boyfriend and my mother, some therapists... But I've gotten more silent about it after bestiality became illegal in Sweden. Anyway, my boyfriend turned out to be zoo too (except for felines). My mother is the kind of person who wants to support me no matter what, so that's nice, even though I think she actually doesn't really like it. First therapist seemed to be disgusted, but the other one was more positive. Also, two friends. One of them urges me to be careful and not tell people, and doesn't think it will ever be accepted. The other one is more neutral, and believes that with time, sexual morals might change. He has shared some of this weird experiences with me (not zoo though), and I trust him.

6. Yes, a lot of people I know would probably disgusted with me and not want to associate with me any more. It would destroy my career, because people wouldn't want to let me work with anything involving animals any more, perhaps not even want me to represent their company/organisation if it was well-known that I'm a zoo. Perhaps those that I dog-sit for wouldn't trust me with their dogs any more, even though I've never done anything sexual those dogs ever. And that would be sad, since I enjoy the company of animals. Seeing how many death threats I've gotten online about my zoophilia, I would expect at least some harassment and vandalism if it became publicly known that I'm a zoophile.

7. I'm attracted to the dog family. Especially fond of wolves and dogs that look a bit similar to wolves. Perhaps I could find an African wild dog or some similar species attractive as well? But dogs are the ones I meet in my everyday life. I prefer certain personalities as well. YMMV if you consider all of these "one specific type" or several, since it's several species but all of them closely related.

8. I don't have an animal partner, but I have no doubt that it's possible for me to fall in love with an animal. I care a lot about animals, and some dogs I felt some kind of connection to (infatuation?).

Have you done anything sexual with an animal?

I've never had sex with a non-human, but I have made out with a dog, who subsequently knocked me over, pinned me down by my hair, and humped me (I remained fully clothed).

How and when did you find out?

That I was attracted to non-humans? Roughly 14-15, I forget exactly how. That I was almost exclusively attracted to non-humans? Roughly 30, by realising so-called "sexy" people never turned me on, and that the only (sexual) head-turners I saw in town had four legs and a tail.

Do you keep it a secret?

Somewhat secret. A few friends know.

Have you told anyone? Did they look at you differently? How did they react?

I've told a few close friends. Most seem to take it positively, some came out to me as also-zoo, and one took it negatively.

Would it affect your everyday life, if people found out?

I imagine it would. People have difficulty separating sexual desire from sexual activity, so the fact I have not acted on my desire would not benefit me. The act itself is illegal, and if it were widely known I assume some people would constantly be snooping on me under the assumption I must act at some point. And even desires for abnormal but legal sexual activity, such as homosexuality, can still have negative social consequences.

Are you only attracted to a specific type of animal?

Dogs and horses.

Is there an emotional bond between you and the animal?

I certainly have a strong (friendly) emotional connection to dogs, and it appears to be bi-directional (not that I have the skill to be certain, I am no psychologist).

3. I've had fantasies involving animals since even before hitting puberty. I must have been no older than 10 the first time it happened. I always had a weird and vivid imagination and in my youth, I fantasized about girls I found cute shapeshifting into animals and me having my way with them when they were in animal form. The full realization that it was possible for humans to have intercourse with animals came to me at about 14/15 thanks to Internet, but I never identified with the term "zoophile" until I was about 18.
