Zoophilia debate (self.zoophilia)

I'm coming from the subreddit TMBR, or "Test my belief reddit" where we debate many issues from politics or philosophy. One topic that was just brought up is zoophilia. The main issue being brought up is consent. I was hoping some of you would be willing to come help rationally debate it, regardless if you include your personal Zoophile status. I apologize if this isn't an acceptable post, but hope you'll join us

do you guys usually go to outside subs for helpers in your debates?
No, I don't know if they ever have. This is just a topic I don't think any of us, on either side of the debate, have any experience with, and are a little naive and/ignorant on. I personally know nothing about the topic, but do not see how one would assume consent. This being did, I have known one zoophile and she would always put animals first. I can only assume this stays true in all relations, and was hoping for a more knowledgeable source.
Just wondering, did you ever get to a point of better understanding?
Yes, I did, thank you. SunTzu gave quite a good reply explaining it. Thanks again
Thank you for taking the time to come to a better understanding.
Thanks for this, Latex. I've submitted my lengthy take on the top post. I hope it spurs discussion...no pun intended.
Thank you! You're post was very informative, well explained, and appreciated.
I just saw this thread and never being one to avoid a good debate thought I'd pop over and see if there was anything I could add, but I was pleasantly surprised to see that any argument I might have made had already been eloquently put forward by you. Given how often I see people (with the best of intentions, I'm sure) ham-fistedly defending zoophilia and doing more harm than good, it was a very refreshing change :)
That's quite the compliment! Thank you! : D
