Do you think anyone else in your family might be/have been zoo? (self.zoophilia)

It's interesting to think that sexuality may have a genetic component. Personally, while I don't know for sure, I have reason to believe that one of my grandfathers may very well have had a thing for horses.
Though I have no reason to believe this of anyone in my own family, I think it likely that zoo tendencies are heritable to an extent, similar to bisexuality and homosexuality.
I would agree. It seems like at least my mother, father and full blood sister (my only sibling) are all strongly into animals (but maybe not in "that" way). And then there is me who has the perfect personality, life experience, upbringing environmental situation etc to be further on the 'zoo' end of the spectrum of animal love/animal interest
I suspect a couple people might potentially be, but I think most of that might simply be that because I'm a zoo I view things in a certain context.
Not hereditary, but my mother caught her ex husband with their female lab. that story made coming out to her pretty easy.
on another note. It would be hard to study because stong zoosexual/homosexuals likely arnt going to produce offspring. So it comes down to environmental conditioning.
Well that would assume that there is a single gene involved, that it is dominant, and that zoos/gay people don't have kids. It's very possible for straight vanilla people to pass on a zoo/gay gene, if we assume that this theoretical gene is recessive, meaning you can carry it without expressing it.
Of course, most things are a combination of genetics (often with multiple genes involved) and environment, so yeah, it's difficult to study.
I know I'v found doggie porn on my brothers I pod he forgot to delete lol ....
However being into bestiality doesn't really make him a zoophile.
I had a similar experience, and my brother is certainly not zoo, so... yeah. It's something a lot of young males look up outta curiosity I think.
Aye hes older then me by 3 years and I'm 23 lol
Still young at heart tho
I suspect I am the only zoophile, but I know I am not the only one who's done any experimentation with non-human animals. I have both an aunt and an uncle who have explored a little into bestiality. Not having discussed the topic with most of my family, there could well be more that I am just unaware of.
No. For sure not. My mother isn't the biggest animal-friend, my sister is over-hygienic, and washes her hands everytime she touches my dog. And my dad keeps telling me things like "Where is your girlfriend?".
I don't know much about my grandparents and ancestors, but since they all reproduced, the chance is small that anyone was zoo-exclusive, like me.
But there's a few people I know where I think those could be potentional zoos. For example a 50+ old guy, who is a friend of our family: he never had a girlfriend, doesn't talk much, he works with horses, and generally is very open towards animals.
I think I am the only zoo in my family.
I haven't seen anything that would indicate sexual interest in animals in family. I have talked about the subject with my mother, and she has no such interest. The rest of my family I haven't discussed this with, so it's impossible to know for sure.
As for me, what made me discover bestiality was 3 adult books owned by my parents. Don't know if they are only excited by the subject or if they have ever practice. But my father is a hunter and has always had from 2 to 5 dogs at home, both males and females, so they definitely have had the opportunity.
I found horse porn on my brother's computer once but he seems completely uninterested in his dog he keeps poorly chained up in his back yard. My guess is he was only curious.
I've always been "different" in the family. Not just sexual preference but just personality and interests. I think something just developed differently for me. So, it seems I am the only zoophile, but I'm also the only one not addicted to drugs and the only one that went to college. Not trying to pat my back or anything, it seems to me genetics really had little to do with who I am today. I think part of what may have went differently in my development may have saved me from a life of aggression, poverty, and irresponsibility. In exchange I got slight social avoidance and an uncommon sexual preference that I have the sense enough to hide.
It does run in the family. I've discussed it with a lot of zoos over the last 20 years and yes, there is a strong correlation.
Zoo does not breed out totally. I'm zoo exclusive and have no kids, but when I was young it was partly only good luck and aligned planets that kept me from making some er... "genetic mistakes" so to speak. So even exclusives can have a kid or two just like lesbians often enough have a kid or 5.

At least one of my patents have in interest. I found some porn on their computer while doing tech-support once.
Had a great uncle who was caught as a boy getting blow jobs from calves. Only know this from overhearing my aunt snickering about it a long time ago.
I think I'm the only one in my family but there's a girl from my school who used to bully me and then hit on me a little that might be into bestiality or might be a zoo. I won't say why I know this as to not out her plus I haven't seen her in 4-years.
