Sigh... I almost want to say something on that thread, but.. Meh:/

There are actual arguments being made, and they're being met with NUH UH FREAK.

actuallynotazoophile ok, I lied 11 points on 2016-01-12 22:27:51

I wouldnt get into it. Its not like they cant see the hypocrisy, they all acknowledge we both face the same kind of prejudice, but then they really are justified in feeling that way towards us because...reasons.

Even the smartest animals have only the intelligence of a small child- it would be like fucking a small child. Therefore you should not fuck them.

you gotta be a special kind of stupid ignorant to think getting rammed and knotted by a great dane is anything like having sex with a child.

Frostfedora Captain Esports 8 points on 2016-01-12 22:33:00

The cool thing is that anti-zoos always take the L because no matter how much they screech and rage and protest about how all ANIMUHL ABOOZERS deserve to be raped in prison or die, it's almost impossible to find someone guilty of bestiality or even suspect them enough to launch an investigation. The government barely gives a shit about it too. It's an incredibly rare sexuality, hard to prosecute, there's no wealthy anti-zoophilia lobbies, and if they actually legitimately gave a fuck about the public's concerns about animal abuse they'd crack down on factory farming and puppymills.

The most governments do against bestiality is banning it in places it hasn't been to get bitchy animal rights activists out of their hair, and that's enough to satisfy them.

acceptance is painful. censorship is easy. love how the lgbt does to us what was done for ages to them. scream, throw stones, argue against strawmen, agree a lot with oneself, call for eradication, pull abomination and perversion cards; - humans never learn, not even on themselves, not even through decades of hurting. It's a shit species, really.

AXwoof Canines + 9 points on 2016-01-13 00:30:35

Wow, having such a high opinion of their own lifestyle, but being against people like us, just because they think their personal opinions are facts.

Just thinking of a girl with a dick or something like that makes ME wanna throw up, as a personal comparison. But at least I'm tolerant, and don't view people as sickos or rapist, without knowing shit about things.

Cuba5555 3 points on 2016-01-13 03:20:16

My favorite part is they agree with the hate we both recieve and then they hate on zoos because they don't understand it. It's just a "fetish". I guess when you are hated like that it's easy to hate on to another group the same way.

shiki87 1 point on 2016-01-13 08:40:06

I don´t think you need to be hated to hate others. I think, in every human there is something they hate. And some people just hate other people, or more specific, what other people are(do, make,...)

And at one Point, they begin to defend their viewpoint, even if it is clearly wrong. Typical Humans :3

doge_eat_dog_world 5 points on 2016-01-13 03:38:11

As a vegan I'm so angry at some of the arguments they're making I decided to post for the first time... having sex with animals is rape but slitting their throats and eating them isn't murder?

Humans physically inseminate the majority of animals bred in captivity, is that rape or is it alright because it's part of the process to get a hamburger into your hand?

Aside from that, the whole "it's just a fetish" thing is exactly what transgender people went through joining the gays and in some places still face. How can they copy paste the arguments but aim it at something they don't like and not see the hypocrisy?

shiki87 2 points on 2016-01-13 08:33:35

That is the Problem. Those people who are against it don´t like it, and then they don´t think rational anymore, they just going nuts about it, like those who hate them, being (whatever). At this point they only see themselves and only their point. Its sad, but some humans chose this way and like it to see others below themselves...

part of me is angry i can't post to the thread. part of me realizes how futile it would be anyway. mostly i'm just angry about how ignorant they are.

wasted944 5 points on 2016-01-13 13:35:00

Here's the thing, and yes I am going to have a bias towards canines here because that's where my experience lies. Anyone that has enough basic literary skills and is not too lazy to type a few search lines in Google can read up on animal behaviour that will clearly prove that, not only do animals consent/object to sexual behavior on their own accord but they are also fully capable of initiating it via courtship rituals, ect.

With canines living in such close quarters with us and often times being closer to us than most humans are. Is it really that far of a stretch to believe that a dog would fall in love with their owner and act on those feelings the same way they would if they were in a social setting with another canine?

From personal experience, I know the answer to this question but if these anti-zoos are half as educated as they claim to be, why are they blind to facts that research-based behavioral science has proven? It is my speculation that most of the anti movement is made up of people who have been so indoctrinated into the narrow minded, lock-step conformist mentality of society that they have lost the ability to think for themselves, even if hard, scientific evidence is put right in front of them.

zootrashcan doggy doodle dandy 4 points on 2016-01-13 15:59:47

This 'all degrees of it are equally bad' attitude is something I don't understand from antis. Reacting violently to what basically amounts to a thought crime does nothing to help the situation or prevent it from happening. If you think bestiality is abuse, the worst thing you can do to your cause is attack people questioning it. The only thing that accomplishes, if anything at all, is make people less likely to listen to you, less likely to seek help, and more likely to turn to insulated communities that approve of it.

There are certainly good arguments to be made, but being loud and saying people should go to jail for even having the thought is not one of them. I can understand that it isn't a topic everyone feels comfortable discussing and debating, but if you're not open to discussing and debating it, don't open a public forum thread about it.

I myself used to be anti-bestiality, but because I was open about having these feelings, I still got attacked. While this isn't what changed my mind, it certainly didn't help.

ZooMasil 1 point on 2016-01-13 20:30:51

I've been around the world a few times traveling to conventions or just because I wanted to see what was up and one thing I learned is that no matter where you go people are the same everywhere, which means they're assholes, I would assume this rule applies to sub reddits also.

12eqwe 0 points on 2016-01-16 15:33:32

The amazing thing is: If you work your way up in science or in the higher management echelons or so - the mixture is always the same!!! You think some higher-up-group is full of reasonable people- No. There is no difference to how many assholes, incompetent idiots, wankers, backstabbers and so on are there. Higher up they drive bigger cars, that's all. Exception is politics. The higher you come the less normal reasonable people are there.

ZooMasil 0 points on 2016-01-16 18:51:39

I'm going to have to disagree on scientists, almost all the scientists I know and am friends with as well as work with are very nice nice people, they have a level of curiosity about everything which I think keeps them from making rude judgments, granted I'm an asshole but don't let that be indicative of scientists.

zootrashcan doggy doodle dandy 0 points on 2016-01-17 00:53:47

It might depend on the field, but yeah. All the scientists/science majors I know are generally good-natured, kind, funny people. But, then again, some of the stuff I've heard from them regarding politics and such... there are clearly some dumb assholes.

CognitivelyDissed 1 point on 2016-01-14 14:06:49

At least many of the upvoted people say that the feeling itself is not wrong, only acting on it... so they're at least trying to be reasonable...

Susitar Canidae 6 points on 2016-01-14 21:00:22

It seems they had found my old topic, but most of them didn't read it or at least not properly. I do not argue that we should be add a Z to LGBTQ. I AM already part of that 'community' because I'm bisexual. But every time I hear people being uncompromisingly positive about the LGBTQ community, you know, "we can be truly honest with ourselves here!" or "all love is equal!", it feels so hypocritical. I know it's not true. I know that I can't be honest about who I am, and I know that if you start asking questions, it turns out that not all love is equal after all.

So, that thread was mostly my personal ranting, not really about wanting zoophiles to officially belong to lgbtq. (Frankly, I find the acronym becoming a bit too long already).

These people who get all panicked about zoophiles and other "horrible people" trying to get into the lgbtq community tend to forget that we are already here! You can be gay and zoophile, or trans and a fetishist or whatever. Zoophiles already walk in the Pride parades, or are in same-sex relationships, or go through hormone treatment... Because zoophiles are everywhere.

actuallynotazoophile ok, I lied 2 points on 2016-01-14 22:12:21

good lord, that last paragraph was beautiful.

zootrashcan doggy doodle dandy 2 points on 2016-01-16 01:18:14

I have to agree with this. People tend to think their groups are mutually exclusive with things they don't like, but it's just not true. I actually qualify as trans myself, but I'm still zoo.

Edog91 0 points on 2016-01-14 21:24:14

These type of things don't really bother me any more, also should we really have to explain to people the defense between a human child and a member of an entirely different species'? Other thin making me not like the LGBT more its just more emotional ranting online.

At least they took the time to formulate some kind of argument to go with their vitriol. It would be much worse if they said, "NO. NO, THIS IS NOT OPEN TO EVEN THE SMALLEST DEBATE, YOU TWISTED FUCK."

Always look on the briiiiight side of life... whistles

Rannoch2002 Deer Zoo 1 point on 2016-01-16 02:34:07

they did tell us to "fuck off to our animal rape subreddit" though...

I checked but I can't find it in my subscriptions!
