So I was going through random subreddits and to my surprise I came across this one. I didn't know this sub existed but in a way it's nice to see that it does.
The hate that zoophiles get makes no sense to me. The whole argument about "animals don't consent to sexual relations" is pretty much bullshit - animals don't consent to being eaten as food or hunted for sport. Furthermore, nobody can really say that animals don't take pleasure in sex; I mean dogs are stereotypically known to hump humans, how could anyone argue that they're not consenting to it? But I digress.
Personally, zoophilia isn't really my cup of tea and I know most of you aren't really into beastiality, but it doesn't interest me either. I just wanted to post in support of you guys. The small percentage of animal abusers shouldn't represent a vast group of people.
But yeah, if you find companionship in animals then power to you. Not something I'd get into but hey, you can't change what love is. Apologies if I come across as ignorant in my post. Good luck to you all!

I think our community had been conditioned to not expect acceptance from outsiders, so we avoid wanting it. I don't speak for all zoos, but your rational approach to the topic is exactly what we need to curb persecution at the least.
Yeah, I mean a dog is a man's best friend and companionship goes a long way, same with horses. Horses and dogs are probably the two most faithful animals to humans and it'd be wrong to just attack people who treat them well.
The people who scream "abuse" are the same people who talk about how animals should have rights and that they have minds of their own. Animals do have rights, and they're not stupid that they can't make their own decisions.
I dunno. The world's hypocrisy is constantly growing, so stay strong you guys!
