I love this. Granted, any such test would have the same problems as human IQ tests (mainly problems in defining intelligence properly and getting consistent, useful measurements), but great potential there. And who knows, it might lead to additional sorts of measurement, like EQ tests and emotional tests. Scientifically useful, and also good for debunking claims that they are, in essence, children in furry bodies.

I'm glad to share things that people like. :)

It's a step on the path, certainly, but given how recently some were still dismissing the intelligence and personhood of black slaves, native Americans, and Aboriginal Australians… this will take a while.

Here´s a documentary with hard evidence of animal intelligence. Sadly it´s only available in German language, but even without understanding the commentary, there are some magnificent examples of coordinated, intelligent behavior in animals. Research continues...but will mankind accept the results?

P.S.: Both types of links seem not to be working properly...in case you want to see it, just search for "Können Tiere denken".

I've found several documentaries with that phrase, varying from about 45m to 1h35m. Can you give me more info? How long was the video you were trying to link to?
