In amateur it's hit and miss. Many people genuinely love the pets they're with and it's just footage of it. Many people also don't love the pets/animals and are just exploiting them for a thrill. So flip a coin.
In more high production outfits, the animals are often mistreated, forced, or otherwise manipulated because profit is of more value than the animal. So supporting the bestiality industry is bad for animals.
Stepping away from the zoophile standpoints, the sad reality is that a lot of the people in a lot of the bestiality outfits are there against their will or generally mistreated anyway. Sex worker rights vary country to country and in places where they're unprotected it ends badly.
