Love the comments on the other discussions. I wonder what percentage of signatures are actually furries.

Frostfedora Captain Esports 8 points on 2016-02-23 03:30:56

Furries talk up a good game about how it's totally not about sex and that attraction to animals=/=attraction to real animals, but look at any comment on a highly rated feral (four-legged) image on e621 (largest furry porn website) and you just know the average furry would be balls deep in a husky if they woke up with one on top of their dick before they could choke out "n-not all furries."

NSFW-- I mean, come on. I've seen bestiality porn where the animal is less sexualized.

Sure, next you'll be telling me that lolicon should be classified as pedophilia.

You're being sarcastic, right?

The "anatomically correct" tag speaks for itself.

I know this was traced over a real picture of a guy jerking off his husky. It has nothing to do with real bestiality tho.

Frostfedora Captain Esports 1 point on 2016-02-23 04:17:02

I saw people commenting about that and I was really curious. Do you happen to have the link to the real life image?

Check your PMs, I won't post it here.

heh.. i recognized it instantly when i saw it elsewhere a few days ago.

Eh, while probably more furries have more zoo tendencies than they'd admit to, I doubt the attraction translates to real animals for the majority. Largely furry anatomy is some combination of extremely anthropomorphized, idealized, and very much fantasy. Even a lot of feral art (though I will say many of these artists I either know to be zoos or hang around zoos) has a lot of emphasis on human mannerisms and cleaned-up, more stylized genitals.

furvert_tail Equine, large canid 4 points on 2016-02-23 09:25:28

The highest estimate I've seen is still only about a sixth of furries being zoos, but even in that survey, furries tended towards disliking zoos.

Of users reporting an opinion, a plurality (36.8%) described themselves as ambivalent, with 18% reporting positive feelings and around 45% reporting negative ones.

AXwoof Exclusive 2 points on 2016-02-25 09:06:13

I like furry art (and yiff too), but the negativity most furries have towards zoophiles, is the main reason for me to not participate in their community.

Cause I don't want to stick with people who are only friendly to me as long as they don't know about my sexual orientation... (ok, in real life it's actually like that)

AXwoof Exclusive 3 points on 2016-02-25 09:21:15

Lol, you need to look at the stuff of artist dangerdoberman on e621. That is mostly bestiality.

Especially on that one post with the 10 inch human dick penetrating a female german shepherd (post 678732), people are drooling in the comments, like "I nearly came without even touching myself", "Yes please. I will fuck her." or "Oh the details! It's soo life-like!" ← I wonder how last one would react if this situation actually happened IRL. :p

ursusem 5 points on 2016-02-23 07:04:29

Oh wow. But I understand why people suspect such things of furries. Let's just be real here.

All the single furries, all the single furries ~

30-30 amator equae 3 points on 2016-02-23 08:38:59

After I´ve seen some "furry art" depicting a female horse with gigantic boobs placed at the anatomically wrong spot for equines , but appropriate place for human females, furrydom has turned into my personal, 9 gag-ish "nope spider". ;)

wright-one ursidae canidae pantherinae 2 points on 2016-02-23 09:23:23

do they really think the senate and house would waste its time on something like this? and who the hell is xoa online?

also, i bet furries are REAL happy about this one..

Susitar Canidae 7 points on 2016-02-23 10:21:41

I'm guessing this is not very serious, more like meant to troll furries. Furry porn doesn't harm anyone, you can think it's immoral or disgusting all you want, but cartoons are not real people.

30-30 amator equae 0 points on 2016-02-23 11:06:52

I´m not so sure about it...certainly, cartoons aren´t real, but what could hold the potential to get real is the desire for animal genitalia, even when they´re drawn in a cartoonish style. Since there´s a significant percentage of furries also interested in having sex with real animals, it´s not totally separable IMHO. "We desire what we see", as Hannibal Lecter puts it in "The silence of the lambs". This holds some absolute truth. I can see the connection this petition is based upon...but I would insert Wilson´s "sombunall" in it...for some, but not all, furry porn can lead to bestiality.

Another thing to ponder: we live in a world where Television and movies have definite influence on people. As far as I am concerned, I basically was raised and heavily influenced by Mr Spock, the BBC series The Tripods, Catweazle, Grisu, the little dragon who wanted to become a firefighter...stuff like that. Even in my teens, some cartoons heavily influenced me: He Man and , most significant, Marshall Bravestarr´s grumpy, quick tempered, but honest and reliable Thirty Thirty character. I can´t even remember the teachers I had in school, but I´ll never forget all those cartoons. In some way, these cartoons are "hyper real". Don´t underestimate the influence these "made up" characters have, just look at the Star Wars fandom, to name the biggest. There´s even a religion based on SW... Your approach tends to skip on that aspect of fictional characters. For many, they are more than "just cartoons" and this may even expand to the field of sexuality. Further scientific research of this will be needed before a reliable answer can be found.

Susitar Canidae 4 points on 2016-02-23 12:56:58

Of course fiction might be inspiring, and there seems to be some overlap between zoophiles and people who like furry porn (although not to the extent that some people might think).

But my point is, we can't ban certain movies, drawn pictures or other forms of fiction just because it depicts something "immoral". Hurting someone in real life is one thing. Drawing a guy being punched in the face is a completely different thing. People who want to ban certain types of porn don't usually want to ban action movies or crime dramas, even though I think we can all agree that killing someone is much worse than any consensual sexual act.

Cartoons cannot be harmed, therefore they should be legal even if you think they depict an activity which should be illegal irl. But of course, suitable age recommendations and content warning is a good idea for any pornography, whether it is acted, drawn, written or voice acted.

furvert_tail Equine, large canid 4 points on 2016-02-23 13:32:10

I've often wondered why society seems to be OK with violent imagery despite their prohibition on sexual imagery. It really is strange, as fights-to-the-death will be shown in cartoons aimed at young children.

Or the dichotomy between the infamous Facebook video of a woman being executed by a gang (for cheating?) as compared with their equally famous stance on "no breastfeeding pictures". (I stay off Facebook so only knew of these from the news stories they both generated).

Just because it makes no sense doesn't mean we can ignore it. This madness is part of the human condition, or at least of the Western cultural condition.

Susitar Canidae 2 points on 2016-02-23 20:46:48

I agree on this being a strange case of double standards. I think it boils down to culture. When I was a kid, I feel nudity was much less sexualized. A lot of kids, up to the age of 4 or something, running around naked on the beach, because who cares about putting on a swimsuit on a restless 2-year old?

But with more cultural influences from America and other places, Scandinavians have become more prudish about nudity.

Nudity on the other hand, is different from sex. But I feel that violence should be considered worse than sexuality, instead of the other way around. A lot of people have huge issues with different ways others people have sex, it sets of such an emotional reaction, which they don't have about other subjects. It's strange.

That's fascinating, and very sad to hear. I was rather hoping for Scandinavian liberties to spread further, not shrink away.

Since when do most people allow logic to stand in the way of their moral outrage?

thrower65 1 point on 2016-02-25 01:25:48

They never did. Most people just ignore all logic, no matter how much insanity their personal morals/beliefs are based upon.

But seriously. For me, zoosexuality was a gateway-drug to furry culture, not the other way around.

i dont really care about stuff on reddit. on kik however, ive been banned from more furry groups than i would care to count because of it. ive also been kicked from a vegan group

Don't think about it. It'll hurt your brain.

kuvaszfucker 1 point on 2016-02-24 22:03:17

haha thats not going to end well. not that furries will be the ones doing much about it. they may, but the thing that will happen is freedom fighters will get them for freedom of expression, and failing that, probably threaten secession as TX did over obamacare. the more the faggots try to ban the sooner people are going to snap, and we'll have another war of northern aggression on our hands.
