"What perhaps was the most surprising about this was the mutual affection between the pair, it was more affection than I've seen between a human couple."

But the animals' owner Greg Dick said the animals had been in a relationship for about a year and were "in love". “It’s quite an unusual thing,” he told the NT News. "I tried to take the pig away the other day and the kangaroo nearly tore the fence down."

The animals' behaviour, while very unusual, is not completely inexplicable. The University of Sydney's Derek Spielman told the BBC: "It's unusual, you don't often see it, but that's because it's an unusual situation. These are two species that are on their own, and their only option is to befriend another type of animal."

edit: Just noticed the top notch writing and highlighted how they are saying and quoting three times in a row that "it's unusual".

I hope the Kangaroo doesn't get arrested for bestiality.

"Neither one can consent. But the pig is female, so we'll just arrest the kangaroo for rape." -Chief Digeridoo

Hehe. This has made my day even better. Thank you for the fluff. I love how affectionate these two are together. I would love for someone to study their behavior and see if introducing their own species would create them to separate or if their bond is strong enough to last past that commotion. And I have seen a dog and pig relationship like this one on youtube before. Have no clue if the video of them still exists on the site, since they were filmed doing some things. But this is very fascinating and just makes me bubble up with joy! :3 drawing this today

As far as I know inter species love happens quite a lot more than they're willing to admit.

I heard that a local zoo had a Golden-headed lion Tamarin and Pygmy marmoset pair.

Talking about being selectively gullible...sure, the mirror is known for its up-to-the-point quality journalism. Also, no real mating occurred...if you believe that , check some anatomy books. Also, there are no other animals to be seen in the picture. In situations like these, such "friendships" do occur, but not out of real affection for each other, but out of utter survival instinct.

Funny how the usual "sceptics" all of a sudden turn into "true believers" , only because their agenda is met...ridiculous.

I have to confess that I don't really know what "fluff" means but I think it's something along the lines of a story that is not to be taken too seriously. After all that is a "viral" story, so who knows whether any of that is true.

I have not checked anatomy books, but a Roo penis looks "kinda" compatible. I don't believe that the "censored" image is an image of actual penetration and I don't know whether it took place without a camera present, but I don't see why it couldn't happen.

But ultimately I don't care that much about it. Much more interesting are how the normies react to the quotes from the supposed witnesses about their "love" and "affection"
