Hello, swede here! Didn't watch the video, but read the article the video is based on.

First, some context. There is a case in court right now against a Swedish zoo, since a zoo worker was attacked and killed by a pack of wolves. The court is to determine if the zoo could be held responsible, if they should have realized that these wolves could be that dangerous. The pack, as far as I can tell, consisted of a group of brothers.

Secondly, the article uses the words sexist and "male pigs" tongue-in-cheek. This is subtle, and maybe not something you catch unless you are a native speaker.

Thirdly, the expert in the article points out that the reason women are more at risk for wolf attacks is not because of "sexism", but because women in general are shorter and wolves are less afraid of short people.

Four, yes, there are animals that don't exactly have gender equality. There are animals who do things that would be morally reprehensible for humans - cannibalism, killing their prey slowly and painfully, rape and so on. Does that mean we should be morally outraged and protest that kind of behaviour in other species? No. Neither does the article claim that we should. But it's not that strange to point out behaviour like that in animals as trivia, especially considering the context of the trial against Kolmården Zoo.

It seems to be a common trend for both sides of the sexism issue to act as though the other side can't make jokes, and to treat any jokes that they do make as actual positions that they hold.

Then don't consider my point applicable to you personally, right? It's just a trend I've noticed. It doesn't apply to everyone.
