I just wanted to say hey. I never really used Reddit, but thought it was time to check it out. So finally I made this account to be able to talk and discuss certain topics with all of you.
I'm looking forward to read your posts :)

Hey dude, think I recognize ya from Tumblr :). Welcome aboard.
Hi. Yeah we have talked on Tumblr before, and thanks :)
Welcome to the board.
Please, tell us more about yourself so we can boot a conversation.
Well I'm 21 years old and from Denmark. I live by myself and study in one of Denmarks larger cities.
I love talking about ethics, philosophy, politics, religion and also have a interest in history. I used to be politically active for a party in Denmark. I speak for zoo rights and have been interviewed a few times about it.
I love animals, especially certain dogs... I have been a vegetarian now for 2 years, and thinking about going vegan when I'm done with my education.
I'm zoo, in case that wasn't clear :P
Hope that gave a better picture of me :) Else you are more than welcome to ask me.
Thank you very much for showing up!
I don't know if it is just me, but I have the feeling that there is a slight bias towards veganism and vegetarianism in the zoophile community, despite the fact that the only few stats I have read about suggest otherwise.
I fully understand the reasons for becoming vegetarian, but veganism has a somehow weaker justification. I think it is not bad to use horse hair for making violin strings, for example, as long as you give the horses a treat afterwards... my horses are always loosing hair due to wild play anyway. The real problem is when animals are badly treated in order to get animal products, but that does not mean that getting animal products is causing them harm or have to always cause them harm. The same applies to animal workforce.
Maybe I am a bit on guard because too many vegans have told me that I am a monster because I have horses, and that riding horses is bad and I am evil. And that supporting horse sports is evil. And that having the horses help with the farmwork is evil...
I'm not sure about how many zoos are vegetarian or vegan. But think I saw a study about a year ago that showed that most zoos actually ate meat. Which came quite as a surprise to me. :o
I do plan to stay a vegetarian, but if I go vegan then I'm not gonna become a "psycho-vegan" :P I'm not shaming on others that eat meat or use animal products. And I don't seek out every chance to shout that I'm a "veggielover". I don't wanna be that irritating guy... The reason I become a vegetarian was because I personally thought it was wrong to eat animals.
From what you told me, you don't sound like a monster or evil to me at all :)
I actually didn't know they still used horsehair for violins. Thought it was only for the super expensive old ones. But I don't see a problem with it as long as no one is hurt :)
Hope I don't sound like a "mad" veggielover to you, if I do then it's certainly not my intention.
You are the less (non) irritating veggielover I have found this year.
The violin strings example was just an example. You still find some manufacturers that do it.
The main problem with minority lifestyle warriors is that they take a lifestyle as their own, which is alright, and then turn it into politics. That is why you get so many political parties doing identitarian politics ("If you are gay you must vote for my socialist party, because the socialist cause and the cause of gays is one and the same. Never mind that the party is socialist only in name, or that there are non-socialist parties with pro gay propositions"). Regulars get tired of the minority of people doing politics using their lifestyles as an excuse, and end up hating the whole idea behind the lifestyle.
Hell, they have turned software licensing models into a political battlefield too. Now you have political parties enforcing free open source software because of $read_above.
I had always had less of an issue with vegans than the rest of the regulars seemed to have, until they started to come accusing me of Absolute Evilness. Fact is that the horses I am supposedly exploiting live better than I do, have a servant who prepares the food and cleans their house, and are always being lazy. But even many horses and donkeys that work get to enjoy it, so wtf?
Welcome to this sub.
It's mostly safe here, sometimes a ''normie'' will glip trough and try to make sense (and horribly fail)
How about you tell us why you're here and what you like?
Thanks. I wrote a bit about myself up in the chat. But wanted to find other zoos and have a good dialogue with others, and maybe help break some prejudices about zoos :)
We actually have a couple normie allies here on the semi-reg, they're not all bad and incompetent.
I'm talking about the delusional bigots.
But then again, you're automatically abnormal even if you defend zoophilia.
Trust me, alot of people look down on me.
instead of using quotation marks, you used four apostrophes. i just want to know why
I don't know and I couldn't care less.

Ahoy there! Welcome to the...zoo lol... Seriously though, welcome!

get out while you can, the only reason I'm still here is to see what 30-30 says next.
I'm not sure I understand :/ Is 30-30 a person?
yes he is, I was joking for the most part on telling you to leave, welcome to reddit.
Uhm thanks xD
30-30 is the most possitive zoo of the sub, taking nothing too seriously and convinced that everything is going to be alright \sarcasm
Ah okay. That's good to know :P
Welcome. I hope you enjoy your time here.
Thanks :)
Welcome to this reddit. Hope the experience here is good. From reading comments below, you seem really friendly and active in politics? Thats so cool to know. Hope to see more love coming your way! :3
