After a short stint away, I'm back... (self.zoophilia)

Some of you may remember my old username as redacted. I've since had to delete that account and create this one. I tried to maintain a separation of my two lifestyles but sadly, someone went digging and I was almost found irl. Needless to say, I will not be making that mistake again. I'm not used to getting death threats or being afraid to check on my horses at night. Anyways, I'm back and hope to continue adding to the community.

damn that sucks. glad to hear you made it out ok though. do you know what your mistake was so others dont do the same?

Well, my biggest mistake was using my old reddit account for both my zoo posts as well as my everyday stuff. I've been careful all my life about keeping those separate and relaxed here thinking everything was going to be ok. It wasn't

See, here's a problem though. With this post, you've linked your new account to your old one. Someone who knew your old screen-name, who saved any of your old posts, could now apply that knowledge to this new account. Furthermore, if any part of your old account exists in an archive somewhere (I don't know if any internet archives do anything major with reddit - I'd sorta doubt it, but I don't know)...

I'm not trying to be paranoid on your behalf, just saying, linking old and new accounts is something that I'd try to avoid if I were in your situation.

My mistake with the last one was using it for other things besides zoo related stuff. I imagine it would be difficult to link the two together. I do appreciate the concern however. Makes me feel even better about coming back to the community that I know and love.

I had someone link several of my accounts together, because I mentioned the name of one on the other, so it is something that can happen.

Just trying to be helpful!

I've went ahead and edited my post just in case however.

One of the first rules of the Internet is to use different identities for different things. If you mess up with one of them, you kill it and bring one new in a clean state up without linking it to any of the others.

Internet does not forget.

That's very true
