I have a block list on Facebook a mile long, I occasionally type in "zoophilia" and other zoo terms in the search bar to find anti-zoos on FB to block on purpose...that's how I found this article. Normally I wouldn't even click on shit like this, but I was sort of curious when this popped up and so I did and viola! here we are. Considering other things the author thinks is true via skimming other articles on that site, I really wouldn't be surprised if that would happen if they found out someone close to them was a zoo.
It wouldn't be the first time a anti-zoo tried to kill their own offspring just for finding out they are zoo. As I recall, there was someone in our community who got beat with a crowbar because they came out to their dad in the late 90's I wanna say?

I publicly advocate not just on FB, but on Twitter, Tumblr, Deviantart, Youtube and on reddit under a zoo r/reddit separate from this one. I even advocated on Livejournal when it was popular. I haven't been that active over the past couple of years however, I am just starting to get into the swing of things again. If I am going to publicly advocate, I might as well take precautions whenever possible...sometimes that means blocking people who I know are entrenched in their beliefs about people like me and are only going to bring negative energy to the table. it's not like they are gonna take one look at what I post and suddenly change their views anyways. I don't even want to focus on changing other people's views because it is exhausting work for me and often a futile effort. I'm just in it to make other zoos feel more welcome in the world, even if I am just only 1 person.
