I really don't get why you posted this here.
Everyone here knows that alot of animals get abused sexually daily.
Anyways, things like this are fucking sick.
It's sad to think that zoophiles will get blamed for it again, even though we even have people here who think it's normal to use them as sex slaves.

As important as it is to acknowledge that sexual abuse of animals happens, I agree that this isn't a good place to submit content like this.

Would it be appropriate to go into /r/gaybros (or something) and post news reports about boys being sexually abused by men?

Have you ever heard about "know your enemy"? Posts like the one above are a nuisance only if your primary target is floating around in your little online filter bubblke uninterrupted. To me, the arguments of the opposing side bear at least the same amount of importance as those of our own side.

I think we all have seen (and probably will see more of that in the near future) what huge problems this filter bubble- and echo chamber-mentality can create and how hard it is to find compromises when BOTH sides have their "safe spaces" and no one has to face the actual facts.

To answer your question: Yes, it absoutely would be appropriate to post news reports about boys being sexually abused by men if this was a common accusation not only from the ultra-conservatives, but the common belief of society. The gays have been there some fifteen to twenty years ago and they did the right thing: they distanced themselves from that vicious type of conduct loud and clear, without the usual "but..." you can hear from all types of "zoophiles" these days. Simple, isn´t it? If we ever want to progress, taking a clear stance against animal abuse is essential. Fellow zoophiles usually are scattered all over the world, so what do you think is the appropriate place to sort things out , then? At the imaginary local "zoo" meeting perhaps? Once again I have to remind the community that ducking out of problematic issues only reassures all the outsiders´ prejudices. And picking out the "good" submissions while trying to block any disturbing signals is what a typical "zoo" would do....denying responsibility, indifference, a mind solely orbiting around the own ego...you surely know the common routine of accusations by now, don´t you?

What 30-30 said. I usually just "sandbag", but I have to jump in on this one because this is EXACTLY the place to post informational posts like this! It's important as a zoophile to be aware of what is going on in the world which DOES effect zoos (or the perception of us anyway).

even though we even have people here who think it's normal to use them as sex slaves.

I see what you did there.

I, for one, appreciate these type of posts.

Why? We live in a world where we aren't popular. News like this riles the normies up. I like to know when they are being riled up, so I can be on my toes a bit more. It's helpful, at least to me. When enumclaw happened, I appreciated hearing about it from a friendly source rather than a ranting neighbor, let me tell you.

"Normies"

I didn't know we were a bunch of 4chan autists.

It's just a term I've seen used throughout the zoo community, for quite some time actually. I've adapted it to refer to the "normal" population. I've actually never been to 4chan, and from what I've heard, I don't plan on visiting it either.

not a bad site overall, the stuff you hear are just a few chans.

I use "narrow", because, 1: it has a literal meaning that works - narrow interests, attracted to only humans, and 2: it means that most people are "on the straight and narrow", poking a bit of fun at the way being straight and attracted to humans is seen as "right" by many.

You mean neurotypical 4channers don't use this word?

(though I want to say I agree 99%heartedly with your sentiment and would like to upvote it)

That's awesome, you should post this as it's own submission as a follow-up.

I'll see how this develops first.
