I'm not sure if this was appropriate to link here, but I found it somewhat interesting that a sub known for socially conservative viewpoints actually had people advocating for the morality of bestiality.

As long as your actions don't infringe on another person's rights as depicted by the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, you should be free to conduct yourself in any way you see fit - no matter what.

-Sincerely, a big fat right winger.

Uh, if you are going for free speech, that doesn't apply to private reddits for darn sure, but I still see no issue here. It applies enough.

neowneowneowneow 3 points on 2017-01-09 23:26:14

My point was that there are conservatives who take no issue with zoophilia or bestiality since it doesn't interfere with the rights of other people.

That said, Reddit has no obligation to host any content that it doesn't want to host. To force Reddit to do so would be a violation of their own rights to do what they wish with their private property. Just because there are limits on what Reddit allows does not mean that it violates their users' right to free speech.

The second paragraph was my main point. I just misunderstood what you meant.

That sounds more like a moderate libertarian line, rather than a hardcore conservative line. Probably because "conservative" is a term related to people who likes traditions and to stick to moral rules (and force others to stick to them) in most countries I can think about.

When you get screamed at by the authorotarian left enough telling you that youre a right winger, there isn't much left to do but own it.

I really don't know if you what you're trying to say here.
To me it looks like thousands of people who don't seem to agree.
That's not very 'accepting' if you ask me.
This is not surprising at all, I'd say it's expected and extremely depressing.
Fuck, even the Tumblr page itself has the usual 'men can't have sex with females' bullshit and doesn't seem to know what the writer is talking about.

I'm afraid and embarrassed of this species.
Egh, disgusting.

neowneowneowneow 6 points on 2017-01-09 18:56:10

It's a step up from the usual fingers in the ears, screaming "lalalalalalala I can't hear you. Bestiality is rape, mkay?" that is usually used to counter arguments in favor of zoophilia.

I've never seen people act that way.
This is how people always acted about bestiality from what I've seen, but okay.
Edit: I've never seen that kind of behavior before, the fuck did I do?

I don't know if you've read the linked thread in the past few hours, but there appear to be multiple people arguing in favour of bestiality who have not appeared before on this subreddit, indicating at least some understanding of the issues and empathy.

I've seen discussions like this before.
It's almost like I'm looking at children questioning something that they just can't figure out.
And of course the usual 'animals aren't smart enough' attitude is also there.
Oh, and not to mention the 'Eeewww, how can you fuck a dog and like it? Omg ew ew ewww!'' attitude.
I cringe every time when someone uses 'beastiality' like it's an actual word that exists.
It's like these people that think one is spelled as 'wan.'

Nothing new to see in this sea of humans.

What's scary is some push it the same with pedophilia then others see that in the same sentence with zoophilia. I feel that makes us look more bad because people will think we are similar when it is not at all.

Yeah, it's very sad.
I get really bothered when I'm compared to them.
Especially when animals get compared to children too, which even makes it worse.
I'm actually too afraid to even use the word ^^^^pedo in case someone reads my post history and think I'm related to them or something.
And I completely agree with you, we aren't similar at all.
Yet these days it looks like it, and still have to talk about it to clear up some confusion.

^By ^the ^way, ^you ^will ^regret ^that ^comment.
^I ^bet ^there's ^a ^certain ^guy ^who ^starts ^with ^an ^A ^really ^would ^like ^to ^talk ^with ^you. ^I'm ^not ^kidding ^by ^the ^way, ^just ^ignore ^this ^warning ^^'till ^it ^happens.

I was told he is a kid diddler.

He's a fencehopper that gets funky with nonhumans he isn't caring for, without the permission of their caretakers. Least, that's what I've seen.

There is a lot of dissent going on in that thread. There's a fair number of people that aren't explicitly against bestiality, sure, but their understandings of the issues are superficial and the whole discussion pretty much reads like they've all only begun considering nonhuman sex philosophy that same day. Not saying it isn't good or that it couldn't be worse, but it's not 'surprisingly' accepting, unfortunately.

Throwawayz11235 Beasty Pride! 1 point on 2017-01-10 07:19:20

Yeah, maybe accepting was the wrong word. I just wasn't expecting that there would be actual discussion.
