Introducing the bibliography hub! (self.zoophilia)
submitted 2017-03-11 23:32:36 by AmoreBestia Pro-zoophile, non-zoophile.

Hey everyone, I just finished migrating a stunning bibliography database created by /u/Yearningmice, from /r/ZSanctum to our wiki, and am fairly confident that our more scholarly members will love having a look at this. This resource will not only help us maintain a high level of quality and fidelity on the wiki, but will also, hopefully, see use by many of our users in scholarly discussion and perhaps even more academic applications. If you have a credible article or literature that is relevant to zoophilia, that isn't present in the categorized and uncategorized bibliographies(pro, neutral, or anti, as long as it's credible), you can submit them to /u/Yearningmice. If you'd like to become a regular contributor to the wiki, feel free to modmail us and we can get you editing rights in /r/ZSanctum.

Speaking of new content, there are some additional flairs present now; a snake face flair, contributed by /u/szunltap, a flair of a dog/fox face by /u/Warcanine, and a dorsal fin flair made by /u/CognitivelyDissed.

This is great!

Thanks to /u/Yearningmice for taking the time to compile such a resource.

I wish I could be of more assistance, but frankly, life is in the way right now and I couldn't be happier for that fact, to be honest.

Glad to see progress all the same.

What he said. Leading kind of a quadruple life right, even without the zoo stuff. But I'll absolutely use it and add to it.

Wow, this is fantastic. I think this is the best compilation of zoo-relevant literature that I've ever seen. Clean, very thorough, thoroughly referenced. Thanks to all who contributed to this resource, and to Yearningmice for creating it! This will be a fantastic tool for years to come.

Also great idea with the new flairs!

This project was actually started back in '96 and I would like to put this here as well..

Thought I'd get to the next section but I stumbled across some notes I had found on alt.sex.bestiality back in 1996 with some very important names. I'd like to thank them for their contribution as I am sure many of the books are on this list due to their efforts.

The Miami's

Hossie

Satyrs

Saranthyrr Thristovar'ren

Snufferbux

Dr. Doolittle

Stasya

MegaDog

Redvane

Philo Therion

Mal-Wolf

Kayotae Blackwolf

There are lots of us who care. Lots of us who have been here for years. Thanks to them for being there!

To have returns included in a quote use this methoc:

<quote

<quoted return

Which looks like this

quote

quoted return

or you can select the text you want to quote and it'll give you the proper spacing that way when you click reply.

Yearningmice Zoophile 1 point on 2017-03-12 02:23:22

Hmmm, nope.

< quote

< quoted return

Also, I put the names in a text box because that's how I used to see them back in the day on alt.sex.bestiality on my green phosphor dumb terminal... perhaps not in 96 but certainly when I first started. It's a little nostalgic I guess.

Ahh, yeah, you gotta put one on every line. :) Was going for a different effect.

My tutors when I arrived in 98, mostly. Many a good fellow writer in that list too.

This project is even older than ´96, the first list of books with relevance for zoophiles was published (AFAIK) in ´90/´91.

And Stasya is spelled wrong..

Yearningmice Zoophile 1 point on 2017-03-16 11:59:15

Googled the asb and dug up a bunch of silliness on Stasya's part... The infamous '97 I'm leaving post... lol, good times. But yeah I just cut and pasted the credits from Actaeon so I've corrected that.

Also, thanks for pointing out the '91 connection. I went digging in asb archives again and found a bunch of my old posts, which is a goddamn blast! I'm gonna have to start the Zoo-o-files over again. I even found a post referring to me as a "big hitter" for zoo pride in '94.

Annoyingly I'm going to have to take the time to open the old archives and do some text searches because I can't seem to find my posts pre-93 on google.

There is actually additional information hidden on the page, btw.

I used a bug in the wiki code to store an extra column that isn't formatted well for display but contains amazon book codes, DOI links to papers, world cat numbers and other interesting things.

I think view source(at the bottom of the page not in your web browser) will show it in a raw format.

Yeah, I saw that actually when I was copying it over. Noticed that there were a bunch of links in the source that weren't displayed. Neat trick.

Found it worked by accident, decided it was useful. LOL.

I'd like to express my sincere gratitude to u/Yearningmice, u/AmoreBestia and to all others involved for taking the time and effort to compile and upload this comprehensive bibliography database. Making such a vast resource of relevant literature available on this subreddit might be considered a milestone in the history of our community. This is something that should have been in existence for years, but has never been implemented in such a sophisticated way until now. I believe we are all going to take tremendous benefit from your list of sources, be it on an individual level or as a community.

Well done /u/Yearningmouse . Thank you.
