I'm getting my first tattoo this Friday, and I'm really scared of screwing it up because I don't know how to take care of it while it heals. Any tips? (self.zoophilia)

It'll be on the underside of my left arm. I've been reading stuff about how to treat the tattoo once it's done, but I'm still pretty scared of fucking up my skin forever.

What should I do? Should I buy something before I get the tattoo?

First: Why do you post this in the zoophilia sub?

Second: I´m almost completely inked, the only parts that still are "virgin" are my face, hands, my legs, ass and crotch. There are several healing methods for tattoos. You can choose: 1) The "wet" method: The cellophane over your fresh ink has to be replaced with a fresh one every day. Always sterilise your hands before you wash down the exsudate (the watery liquid the tattoo oozes the first two to three days) with warm water and a pH-neutral soap. Don´t rub hard on the tattoo, just rinse it, then apply a panthene creme in a THIN layer before you put on a fresh slab of cellophane. Takes about one week to heal. 2) The "dry" method: After some 6-8 hours, remove the cellophane, wash down the fresh tattoo with warm water and pH-neutral soap, let it dry and apply panthene creme or Aloe Vera gel in thin layer when you feel a tension in your fresh tattoo. Don´t use cellophane anymore. 3) My preferred method, the "japanese" one: the Japanese tradition of onsen is the basis for this. You remove the cellophane slab after 4-8 hours and then, you shower as hot as you can bear it. This will open up pores and force the exsudate that usually is responsible for building up crustation to come out of the pores , as well as excess ink. Don´t overdo it with showering, it totally suffices to shower for about 5 mins; don´t soak your skin ´til it crumples! This method maybe is the hardest because the hot water applied directly to the freshly tattooed areas is quite a challenge, but once you get used to that, it is IMHO the best method by far. After showering, apply panthene creme in thin layer, don´t suffocate your tattoo with thick and greasy cremes. The more of a watery consistency, the better. My tattoos always heal in about 5 days with this method.

General hints: Don´t use greasy panthene cremes like the "original" from Roche, your pharmacist surely has some less greasy and way cheaper generica as the panthene creme from CT. Wounds need air to heal, always keep that in mind! Don´t ever rub hard, pick scabs or expose your fresh tattoo to dirt and dust. A fresh tattoo is an open wound and you should treat it accordingly to that fact. Refrain from swimming or sunbathing, don´t expose your tatto to the sun within the first 6 - 8 weeks; the pigments need time to settle down into the cells. Don´t expect the tattoo to stay like when it is freshly done. Tattoos will lighten up in value during the healing process.

But FIRST AND FOREMOST, take your time to pick your artist! Don´t go for the cheapest one, ´cause there are no cheap tattoos! You´ll regret going to a cheapskate with no artistic talent shortly after, I promise. Put an extra emphasis on hygiene in the chosen tattoo parlor...an infection can lead to severe consequences and can force you to get professional treatment in a hospital....infections can and will ruin a fresh tattoo! If your chosen artist´s parlor looks like shit (dust, pets freely roaming around, general messyness etc....) go find another one immediately.

And: THINK BEFORE YOU INK! Don´t be fooled by temporary excitement when you decide the motive you want. Be aware that, despite of advanced laser removal therapy, the best way to get a tattoo is taking a decent amount of time to choose everything that is involved in the process: artist, motive etc.

The moring before your appointment, make sure you eat well. Getting tattooed is WORK for your body and you´ll need some food to provide enough energy to withstand. Don´t use alcohol and drugs approximately two days before your appointment; alcohol makes the blood thin and can cause extreme exsudation, making it incredibly difficult for your artist to get the ink in your skin. Drugs like weed/hash can make you ultrasensitive for the pain you have to endure, so this is a no-no, too.

Make sure you´re slept well the night before, eat a decent meal before you get tattooed. Stay positive, tattooing surely hurts (especially on the ribs and the back of the knees/"kneepit"), but no one has died from it just yet....the pain is bearable, depending on your dedication to get your motive in your skin.

Tl;dr: Always sterilise your hands when you treat your fresh tattoo. Apply panthene creme in THIN layer, don´t overdo it with the creme, wounds need air to heal. Don´t worry too much about the healing process, tattoos are basically like scratches. Keep your fresh ink clean and sterile, follow the instructions your tattooist surely will give you after you got your ink done.

I swear to god I went to /r/tattoos...

How did I get here...?

Nevermind....my advice still is adaequate. Have fun getting your first tattoo...I promise you´ll remember it as long as you live. I still can recall my "ink defloration" in 1990...;), a stoopid catalogue Pegasus I got on my left upper arm. Enjoy!

I remember getting my first done about 6 years ago. Took me 5 years to decide in favor of it.

Next one I'm planning is going to cover my back. I just need to be damn sure about it.

HOW DO YOU MIX THOSE SUBREDDITS UP!?

_SirMcFluffy 7 points on 2017-05-10 10:24:53

I... I don't really know...

[deleted] 5 points on 2017-05-10 10:45:22

I'm really curious now.
Like, didn't you notice something was off?
And the best part when you realized this is a sub about... eh... stuff with animals?

_SirMcFluffy 7 points on 2017-05-10 13:31:26

I just went into the subreddit and clicked submit a post inmediatly hahaha

Also, my tattoo is a deer, so this post still is about stuff with animals :D

I don't really mind about this sub tbh, I'm kinda turned on by the taboo side of it (and doggie dicks are hot). Too bad it has so little Male human on female animal / Male on male, since I'm gay.

That's nice. If I ever get one, it'll probably be a fox or a wolf.

Although I'm not a fan of that in any way, I expected you to be some kind of person who'd be against us.
Guess not. Lucky, I guess.

Too bad it has so little Male human on female animal

So much this.
But that's because porn isn't really made for people who are actual zoophiles.
It's mostly made for male humans who see bestiality as a fetish or kink and try to get money for it.
As an exclusive zoophile, I can't masturbate to most porn because most of it is dogs shagging female humans which is something I'm not into, and because humans sometimes show their faces which is an insta turn off too.
And of course, the fact that sometimes actual rape is shown in those videos...

Male on male

Same problem here.
Although I've seen enough of that stuff around.

Check out gaybeast and beast forum 😉

_SirMcFluffy 1 point on 2017-05-10 16:13:22

I have an account on gaybeast, yeah, but it's not all that good if you go free

doggylovethrowaway 1 point on 2017-05-10 16:42:14

Happy dog recently uploaded is a great 10 part video for free. Also the free bonus area

MakeKnotsNotCosbys 1 point on 2017-05-10 19:05:18

I thought they got rid of the free bonus area? Or at least I can't find it from the submenues anymore. It just has a 'bonus area' now which requires a membership :/

doggylovethrowaway 1 point on 2017-05-10 19:27:19

Open the bonus videos in another tab before you log in and open all the videos you want in a new tab after you log in. If the bonus video page refreshes you'll have to log out again and start over

Well, as Bob Ross would say: "A happy little accident"

ha. I thought this was going to be about you getting a zeta tat or something.

Is the deer going to be presenting her ass?

_SirMcFluffy 1 point on 2017-05-10 20:17:32

Nope. It's a male deer and he is just going to be presenting his face and antlers

actuallynotazoophile ok, I lied 1 point on 2017-05-10 20:26:39

definitely a much safer option lol.

Cool, it would be great to have a zeta symbol somewhere on my body, which is the first thing that comes to mind, but it seems too risky. If I were to get a tattoo, it would have to be something that is personal, and that others could never guess what it meant.

[deleted] 1 point on 2017-05-12 16:29:20

on yo ass

My mare says hi.

She also says that you should ask the tattoo studio and follow their advice.

She also says neigh and bye.

[deleted] 1 point on 2017-05-13 02:48:26

If you go to a reputable artist, they will tell you how to care for it. My sleeve healing went something like : first 12hrs or so keep it wrapped from the tattoo shop. Then I wanted it in very hot water to remove the residue and any plasma. That part sucked.

Them keep it moisturized with aquaphor a few times a day. I wore a loose long sleeve to bed in case I stained my bedsheets. The outline session took about 4 weeks to heal. Color sessions aren't that bad, maybe 2 weeks.

Do not pick. Do not scratch. Sometimes slapping it can relieve the itchiness.

Removed this as it's a double post. No worries, it's just Reddit goofing.
