"Conventionally" attractive breeds/species you don't care for. (self.zoophilia)
submitted 2017-05-11 05:32:42 by zootrashcan doggy doodle dandy

I couldn't think of a better term for it. Breeds that are very common for zoos to be attracted to that just plain don't do it for you for whatever reason.

For me it's danes. It's not that they can't be attractive to me ever, but the majority of them just aren't. I'm also less into wolves and siberian huskies than it seems most dog zoos are.

Darkspirit5 2 points on 2017-05-11 06:14:23

Can't think of any. The only breeds I find unattractive are small dog breeds, as they don't seem to get me going unless they start licking me (non sexually), and even then it's not that big of a deal.

Battlecrops cat kisser extraordinaire 1 point on 2017-05-11 06:52:19

German Shepherds, huskies, and wolves as well. I just don't find long fur sexually attractive. Aesthetically I love it, long haired dog breeds look very pretty, but I'm not attracted to them.

I do like Danes if they're not overly jowly, have some muscle tone, and nice structure. Basically if they're not exaggerated lol but that goes for most dog breeds. (But nooo male Danes for me lol, too big.) I prefer dogs to be muscular or at least at a good weight too.

zootrashcan doggy doodle dandy 2 points on 2017-05-12 02:28:57

I like fluff, but there's a limit to it. An inch or shorter with longer accents is my preference. My exception is borzoi, but their coat is completely different, it's more sparse, and somehow both flatter against the body while also being wavy. I saw a pyrenees walking the other day and it was a stunning dog. But yeah, too much hair to really be sexy.

duskwuff 6 points on 2017-05-11 07:10:56

Danes for me as well. I understand why some people are attracted to them, but, in my experience, they're just big, bony, and clumsy. Also, a lot of the ones I've met have had poor temperaments.

[deleted] 2 points on 2017-05-11 09:09:59

Danes here too.
They just don't look attractive. No upright pointy ears, muzzle looks weird, no long fur, body shape is odd.
What I really like about them is a bitches' vagina size. I'd take that any day.
Though, their dicks would probably hurt so much. No thanks.
But in the end, I'd fuck with any type of dog. I realized that I even have an attraction if the dog is less attractive or ugly.
Even bully breeds, maybe.

Battlecrops cat kisser extraordinaire 1 point on 2017-05-11 18:15:50

Aww, bull breeds are my favorite!

[deleted] 1 point on 2017-05-11 18:39:54

Can't exactly call it my favorite in zoo terms, but that's because I realized I was attracted to foxes first and quickly expanded to wolves and dogs.
And bully breeds don't really look like their far away family a lot.
Punched in muzzle, muscly body, flat coat, non-fluffy tail, meh.
I guess we're the opposite with this.
I find it sad that people think they're evil creatures, though. Because they're not at all...
It has even come so far they were almost forced to wear muzzles in my country.

Horses. Their size does interests me, but they're not the biggest by far, so not even that really gets me. But i still like them as an animal. Id rate them a solid 7/10. Wolves dont interest me at all, along with pretty much any other carnivore. Killing is a major turn off for me, and they dont have much going on to turn me back on, emotional or physically. With dogs, i havent met a breed i hated, but small dogs i dont really care too much for zoophilia wise

wright-one ursidae canidae pantherinae 1 point on 2017-05-11 16:21:39

i don't think there's anything that others really like that i don't. i'm kindof a stereotype, i guess... i'm attracted to damn near everything. ><

Lateoss Wuz gud 1 point on 2017-05-11 17:31:33

Looking at his from a horse zoo perspective, I have met quite a few people who really like coldblooded, heavy, big-boned horses. This preference extends to regular people when they say that the most beautiful breeds are Fresians or Gypsy Vanners (although Arabians is probably up there too). Personally I find hotblooded horses to be much more attractive. Although I am not a big fan of the look that people breed into Arabians, some Arabians do look very nice. I have always been a fan of Thoroughbreds :).

Battlecrops cat kisser extraordinaire 2 points on 2017-05-11 18:15:26

Hey I'm the same way! I prefer lean animals in general so I don't find drafts very attractive. The only heavier-set horses I like are Lusitanos. I've always liked Hanoverians and racing-bred Thoroughbreds.

Darkspirit5 1 point on 2017-05-11 19:31:34

I could not deny the plump rear end of a draft horse.

zootrashcan doggy doodle dandy 2 points on 2017-05-12 02:30:44

With horses I'm really not a fan of scoopy-faced Arabians, though I'm not sure how attractive those are generally considered to zoos. It seems to be a bit of a thing non-zoos love though.

Lateoss Wuz gud 1 point on 2017-05-12 02:41:49

This is what I was talking about in my post, I really don't like the human bred, scopy-eyed Arabians. If u have ever seen natural, non-selection bred Arabians they are really attractive in my opinion.

zootrashcan doggy doodle dandy 2 points on 2017-05-12 06:08:10

Yeah, the less typey arabians can be really lovely animals. Why do people gotta mess with perfection? XD

WolfLoli Canine 1 point on 2017-05-12 21:12:33

Oh I agree with this statement so much. I love drawing horses and when I search on google images for Arabians, I can't help but be disappointed at how odd and incaved the horses heads are, compared to what they used to look like. Inbreeding seems to be a problem for all breeds. But I am a huge fan of the Norwegian Fjord. I find them irresistibly attractive.

silverwolf-tippysmat 1 point on 2017-05-11 18:47:27

Most canine breeds and wild species do little if anything for me. I'm a very specific zoo, attracted it seems only to the herders, and then only to a few of them. Borders and Shelties turn me on the most, though one is impractical. Most other herders do little for me, though I've seen a few Aussies I like. The very large breeds all turn me off the most.

I'm not an equine zoo, but if I were to fall for a horse, it'd likely be a Morgan, or a Welsh pony. I've a lot of experience (non-sexually) with the heavy breeds and with Thoroughbreds and Quarterhorse, but though I can admire all of them, I can't find fantasy with any of them.

Any other farm animal does nothing for me, though I've owned Jerseys, goats and sheep. I just don't find them attractive.

actuallynotazoophile ok, I lied 3 points on 2017-05-11 20:07:34

oh hey youre back.

I think the species thing is kinda like how other people have preferences about blonde hair or something. Everyone has their main species' preference and then also other preferences to a lesser degree. I even think this applies to normal people, they just repress their attraction to animals which I guess is easy enough if their primary attraction is to homo sapiens.

on topic, I can see the appeal of horses but I'm not really that fussed about them. I'm sure I'd change my tone if I was backed into a corner by a sweet mare...

zootrashcan doggy doodle dandy 2 points on 2017-05-12 03:02:31

On the note of normal people having species preference, I find it interesting how many non-zoos are able to accurately guess the most popular breeds of dogs for zoos.

As far as horses go I'm super fickle about them. I'll find them unattractive for a long time and then out of nowhere they'll suddenly be ultra hot.

Susitar Canidae 2 points on 2017-05-11 20:56:56

Danes and similar dogs. They appear a lot of in bestiality porn (don't watch any more, but used to), probably due to their size and also short fur makes it easier to film close-ups. But I don't like them at all.

I'm in the wolf & husky camp, pretty much.

Susitar Canidae 1 point on 2017-05-11 20:59:04

Also, I'm not a horse zoo at all, but if I would fall for an equine, it would be a zebra. I find them much more interesting.

WolfLoli Canine 1 point on 2017-05-12 21:18:32

Have you ever heard of the preswelskies horse? Beautiful brought back from extinction kind of horse. They may interest you or maybe not. But I feel they look the most wild and similar to the zebra, yet fluffier and of course they have the big horse tail and mane fluff. Also the sleek Norwegian Fjords have a similar hair style to Zebras. I dob't know.. I thought I would let you know of their existence?

Susitar Canidae 1 point on 2017-05-12 21:25:18

I know of these horses. But I think it's the sounds that zebras make, as well as their stripes, that make me appreciate them. More of a fascination than sexual or romantic attraction though.

WolfLoli Canine 1 point on 2017-05-12 21:34:11

Oh the yip yip sounds made by Zebras are amazing, ASMR of that please. They are interesting and very wonderful animals. I have sadly seen one too many shows of lions and other African animals attacking them and eating them on television, so I get really sad and numb to the fascination of doing more research into them. Its nice to see people taking a like to them though. They also make wonderful tasty gum!

[deleted] 1 point on 2017-05-13 00:19:02

Iirc zebras make sounds similar to donkeys in a way, don't they? I remember them sounding similar or misheard it...
Anyways, as a strictly canid only zoophile I'm only attracted to them. But I gotta be honest zebras are pretty good looking and if I had to choose other animals that aren't canids it'd be zebras.
I sometimes wonder why horse zoos aren't interested in them, like how dog zoos are also interested in other doglike animals.

WolfLoli Canine 1 point on 2017-05-16 20:05:04

It could just be because they are very feral compared? I'm not sure why they wouldn't desire a stockier more muscular and handsome build as the Zebra. But Its true. I haven't seen any canid-zoo's that didn't like the feral and wild canids of the animal kingdom. I'm in love with wolves, as is obvious with my name.

[deleted] 1 point on 2017-05-17 20:37:48

I don't understand that horse zoos don't like zebras either because honestly, I am slightly attracted to both horses and zebras.
But your reason may make sense because anyone can be attracted to different types of personalities and such. But it would still confuse me because as you said, dog zoos or canid zoos are usually attracted to many different canids, yet horse zoos aren't usually attracted to other equids. What makes them so different? (Canid zoos and horse zoos, I mean.)

Swibblestein 1 point on 2017-05-13 19:33:36

Apparently zebras are jerks though.

TokenHorseGuy 1 point on 2017-05-11 22:53:28

My first reaction to this was "it's very common for people to like danes?"

zootrashcan doggy doodle dandy 2 points on 2017-05-12 02:39:05

You know, I think it's possible they end up being over-represented in images to the point that they look more popular than they are. They're certainly popular with someone or there wouldn't be so much content of them.

Lefthandedsock 1 point on 2017-05-12 04:56:55

Most horses. I dislike their temperments usually, and few of them are physically attractive.

DoggoVonBitchmarck Jerking off to the Discovery Channel 1 point on 2017-05-12 06:00:32

I always figured Danes were so popular in the community because of their size in combination with their reputation as dumb, low maintenance couch potatoes.

Anyways, it's labs for me. Don't get me wrong, they are cute as hell. But in a zoo sense... it just feels icky to me.

WolfLoli Canine 2 points on 2017-05-12 21:05:16

I agree to this. I never been a big fan of the poor Great Dane. The bad breeding methods of making them huge actually kills them. I am not attracted to short snouted or big droopy lipped or eared dogs either. Like hounds. Also many labs and retrievers turn me off when I notice how many of them fall ill very quickly. Like within only 5 years. Thats sad. Im mostly in love with wolf-like breeds, some terriers. And my favorites, mutts. The wonderful mixed breeds with long snouts and pointed ears and odd flailing tails that almost make them look feral but are smarter healthier better anatomy over-all more attractive looking dogs. Just for my opinion I guess. There are some breeds like GSD and Huskies which I do like.. but they really must have good anatomy and healthy looking bodies and temperament. I don't care for most pure bred dogs though.. but exceptions would be the samoids and spitz breeds. Just healthier looking canines.

Not a horse zoo, but don't have the same feel or experience. Perhaps the bond build between rides and care isn't there as most people don't domesticate zebras.

Tickle_Chicken 2 points on 2017-05-29 15:47:19

I don't really have a breed preference so much. I just really like large dogs with lots of fur. I guess my first choices would be between a husky, German shepherd, and maybe a golden retriever.

As far as breeds I don't like well... not a big fan of small dogs or HUGE dogs.

LikeWhereThisIsGoin 1 point on 2017-06-11 00:15:31

Huskies definitely don't do it for me. Danes as well
