What art has moved you the most? (self.zoophilia)

Preferably, what is posted shouldn't be pornographic. What qualities of the work(s) really stood out to you? Do you think that your zoophilia played a role at all in that?

Ancient zoophilic art stands out for me, because it shows how ingrained these feelings are. It isn't just a fad or some modern perversion. I think this art shows our connection with nature.

I think it has been man's quest to figure out where he fits into the universe. We are part of nature and not part of nature. The Biblical "Fall of Man" may refer to when humans became self-aware and separated from nature (putting on clothes, kicked out of garden of Eden).

Funnily enough, there's a Talmudic interpretation that Adam slept with all the animals trying to find a suitable partner, before God made Eve for him.

The most moving art, to me, is musical theater. Yes, a lot of it is hokey and overly cheerful, but certainly not all of it. I'll just list a few of my favorite songs, and why they relate to my zoophilia in my mind.

  • On My Own from Les Miserables. The show itself is one of my favorites, and its story has too many threads to go over here. All you need to know for this one is that its singer, Eponine, loves a childhood friend named Marius, who sees him as just a friend. She fantasizes about a life with him, but knows that it's ultimately impossible, and is resigned to a life without love because of it. As a zoo, I know that my first love and many of my crushes have been unrequited, and this expression of anguish in futility speaks to that hopelessness.

  • Fantasies Come True, from Avenue Q. A closeted gay man hears his roommate and crush talk in his sleep about wanting him, and gets very excited about that. This song is about hope for the future, and the surprises life can throw at you in making you happier than you thought possible. I also have personal reasons at the moment for thinking of this one, but there's no need to be specific about that.

  • The Proposal/The Night Was Alive, from Titanic: The Musical. This song has two parts: in the first, a sailor proposes to his love across the sea via telegraph, and in the second, the telegraph operator romanticizes the machine and it's ability to connect people across great distances. The two themes are then woven together beautifully, as if to symbolize their common threads. The second piece, with the telegraph operator, speaks most to me as a zoo because it describes, in a way, how the internet has brought together shy introverts like many of us in ways never before possible.

  • Recondita Armonia from Tosca. A painter describes the beautiful woman he is painting, and how she pales in comparison to his lover Tosca. I take it, in part, as an homage to different forms of love, and how many kinds of beauty can ignite the soul, as zoos well know.

I'll leave you with one of the translated lyrics: "Art, in its mysterious way, blends the contrasting beauties together...".

Nature?
It has beautiful parts, I mean. And it's art to me.

In the words of Pierre Bonnard, art will never be able to exist without nature.

I used to listen to a crappy song when I was a teen, very useful when I was angry/hungry, it isn't really good, it's crappy at best, but I guess it's the one that moved me the most then. Geez still gives me goosebumps, walking outside with my mp3, with a knife in my pocket, ready to fight, one of the songs that gave me guts to go through shit.

I also used to listen to old poetic songs, they don't really make them anymore, I guess you won't understand but it's fucking beautiful, it tells the real story of a a poet who commited suicide by drowning herself, and they are telling the story of her last poem; I honestly haven't heard a more beautiful song to this day; I used to be very sad then, mostly for being zoo, so yea.

More recently, now out of that teen days, been listening to songs that remind me the state of things, like jhonny cash, I listened to this song a lot when I was in Europe being exploited for work:

Also I've loved this love song by Геоoрг Каaрлович Отс he sings in finnish, reminds me the state of things to this day where I can think on these things again, now that the waters are calm; I just want to cuddle when I listen to it:

Im not gonna actually post anything in particular I like, im too lazy to ever hold onto any form art I really like :P, but I do still have preferences.

I have always loved natural photography. Im the kind of guy who has a nature background on their laptop, and who points out when they see some really beautiful natural scenery. Specifically mountains and dense forests. I love both the natural aspect and the peaceful aspect of it. As an extension of this, I would definitely prefer living in a rural environment over an urban environment.

I think that a lot of zoos value nature and see it as a beautiful thing more than most people out there. I would attribute it to being a zoo, as our four-legged friends generally are associated with natural and peaceful environments.

As for music, I listen to two somewhat polar opposite genres mostly: Electronic music and Instrumental music (Two steps from hell, audiomachine, etc.) (check them out, its a genre many people dont even know exists!). The only thing that is really consistent with music I listen to is the fact that I almost entirely only like music without spoken words (with the except of choir/gregorian chant, thats pretty good :P).

I probably wouldnt attribute this to being a zoo, but the fact that I largely prefer music without vocals does still indicate a potential resemblance, as our four-legged friends of course cannot speak with spoken words.

I like the written arts, no surprise there. The mainstream Authors who've most influenced my own art being Hemingway, Hammett and Keats.

Zoo Authors prominent in my collection are Actaeon (still active), Proteus, Wolfheart, and Stasya T. Canine. The last 3 I haven't seen online since the very early 2000s.

Beyond writing, I also enjoy ancient art, mainly Celtic and very early Greek, and that from the impressionist movement. Celtic art and stories heavily influence my mainstream writing, as does early Greek art and legend. Impressionism influences my mood.
