New to zoophilia in some respects, new to Reddit in all respects (self.zoophilia)
submitted 2017-08-25 02:05:23 by feralpal

Hello,

I've known I'm a zoophile for many years and have tried to hang out on a few sites. The popular forum for bestiality just seems a bit unfriendly toward newcomers, and the focus seems to be greater on fetishism and personal satisfaction. I've always said that 80% or more of the enjoyment for me is pleasing the animal.

I really want to make some new friends who can help me out, who I can help out, and just be chumbs :)

I'm also new to Reddit, so please be nice, but don't be silent if I'm doing something wrong! Tell me! :D

Well, let me start by saying welcome! I hope you enjoy your stay while you are here. As long as you follow the rules that can be found on the right hand sidebar then you will be good to go!

I've known I'm a zoophile for many years and have tried to hang out on a few sites. The popular forum for bestiality just seems a bit unfriendly toward newcomers, and the focus seems to be greater on fetishism and personal satisfaction.

I am assuming you are referring to BeastForum, I cant think of anything else you possibly could be referring to. Their site is more oriented towards individuals looking for sexual activities that are animal-related, and not towards individuals who honestly care about the animal's happiness first. You are right on your insights about the forum.

Most people here subscribe to a definition similar to that of the wikipedia on zoophilia. More specifically, most here believe that zoophilia entails an attraction towards a species, and is not merely an interest in sex with an animal alone.

This sub boasts being the biggest english zoophilia community, yet there is always room for newcomers. Some of the regulars can be a little crass sometimes, and rightly so. We see some pretty sketchy individuals come through this forum from time to time, but I assure you, if you show others here that you are a reasonable person, they will welcome you in just the same.

Once again, I hope you enjoy your stay! And dont be afraid to get involved and post a bit, this sub could always use some content and discussion to share!

Zoophilia

Zoophilia is a paraphilia involving a sexual fixation on non-human animals. Bestiality is cross-species sexual activity between human and non-human animals. The terms are often used interchangeably, but some researchers make a distinction between the attraction (zoophilia) and the act (bestiality).

Although sex with animals is not outlawed in some countries, in most countries, bestiality is illegal under animal abuse laws or laws dealing with crimes against nature.

I wonder WTF is a crime against nature XD I really don't see how zoophilia, even if you consider is wrong, is a crime against nature.

Shouldn't polluting our environment be an actual crime against nature?... hey CO2?...

caikgoch 2 points on 2017-08-25 11:52:23

Actually, US Federal law defines "crime against nature" as killing or trafficking in or otherwise increasing the threat to an endangered species. So I guess enticing a Tiger to have sex with you instead of another Tiger would be a crime against nature. Personally, I wouldn't mess with anyone that had regular sex with a Tiger.

That does seem weird. Certainly being abusive toward animals could be a crime against nature? Since people erroniously assume that any type of sexual relation with an animal, regardless of motivation or interest of the animal, is abusive, maybe that's why it is categorized as such? Honestly there is a history of people taking laws out of context to punish people who practice unpopular lifestyles further than the current law would allow.

caikgoch 2 points on 2017-08-25 12:20:37

"Crimes against nature" in state law is legalspeak for sodomy. That mostly means anything prohibited in Leviticus. We can't call it what it is, a religious law, because that would make a violation of the First Amendment an absolute defense.

Lawrence v Texas invalidated all of those laws but the Fundies have been working very hard to stem as much of that "flow" as they can.

edit: I have to go meet Harvey so I may not answer for a while.

feralpal 1 point on 2017-08-25 14:47:37

Yeah, I was gonna say that I was pretty sure I heard of a gay man being charged with crimes against nature in a nearby state for human/human gay sex before the laws against that were dealt with.

Swibblestein 3 points on 2017-08-25 23:01:34

I'm now imagining a dramatic scene in a jail cell where someone is broken out by all their violent and dangerous animal lovers.

Don't mess with someone who's won the heart of a tiger!

OnzaZ 1 point on 2017-08-26 11:43:47

Yeah yeah... so crime against nature seem to have nothing about nature, since in fact they decide what is natural.

Lateoss, thanks for the warm and detailed welcome! I really do hope I can fit in here a little bit better than on beastforum...

feralpal 3 points on 2017-08-25 18:31:58

I really hope so, like I said, I've had trouble fitting in in other zoo communities, and one starts to wonder if maybe there isn't a zoo community for me to be a part of. Maybe I'm just too different from the other zoos. My zoophilia is an extension of my deep love for animals, not the other way around. I mean, when you look at the nuances, maybe it's a little bit of both, but definitely far more the former. Think I'm rambling now. Hope you don't mind ๐Ÿ˜Ÿ

Don't worry, even if you were rambling, you've got nothing on a few of the people here. :P

I'm the same way, the funny thing is I used to not really care to much for animals, heck I was afraid of horses. At first I wanted to be a doctor, but I hated people, so I decided I would be a veternaian and it started from there. Then I got into volunteer work, adopting out dogs and cats. Over time I guess my love just grew to what it is now.

feralpal 2 points on 2017-08-25 22:50:59

That is similar, but I've always loved animals...always. I'm surprised at the number of zoophiles I've met who didn't like animals as much growing up. Its very interesting.

soldierboy2b 1 point on 2017-08-26 00:04:52

I guess I didn't because up until I was 15, I had next to no interaction with animals. We had a hamster when I was like 4 and that was about it. When I was 15 is when I finally got a cat, I'm 17 now. But, around that time I went through some stuff thats made me have alot of distrust and dislike for people. But, animals don't judge me for tiny insignificant things.
