In an interesting and thought provoking thread on SpaceClop, there has been a lot of discussion on animal "consent" regarding sex with humans.

With horses, I have known over 50 individuals. Mostly females, some male geldings, and a handful of stallions. While I am a "top" and drawn to female horses (mares) I have had a few encounters with male horses that I have attempted to penetrate anally. I think what transpired is a very good example of how an animal shows consent and wonder if any of you have had similar experiences?

With mares, it's like they instinctively know they are "bottoms" and they expect to be penetrated by males. As long as a mare is somewhere in her "heat" phase, nearly every one I've met has allowed me to engage in vaginal or anal copulation without a flinch. There are some that will only allow it for "free" when they are at the height of their heat phase. The rest usually demand some form of payment during, the picky ones demanding feed, the "cheap dates" only requiring a couple flakes of hay. The ones who have zero interest in copulating with a human, simply step away from me if I toy with their genitals and will never allow me to mount them.

While I am not attracted to male horses per se, in that I have no "bottom" tendencies, I would have no qualms about engaging in anal sex (me on top) with a male horse if one would consent to it. So far, I've not met a male horse that would consent.

My first experience (with any animal besides a lick job from a dog when I was a teen) was many years ago, during a months long sexual dry spell and I was super horny. I neighbor had a male pony that was quite friendly and loved to be petted. One evening while petting him in the pasture, I scratched him near his anus and he responded by raising his tail. I toyed further with his anus and eventually lubed a thumb with spit and inserted it into him. He enjoyed this a lot. I decided to see if he would allow me to butt fuck him. I went home and then returned with some vaseline, got hard, lubed up, and penetrated his ass. I only got a couple strokes into him before his head went up, he looked back at me with a WTF? expression, and stepped away from me. He would not allow me near his butt again. Interesting that he knew the difference between my thumb and my dick.

My second experience was years later when I was actively pursuing sexual relationships with horses. There was a draft horse stallion who was quite friendly and as with that pony, I decided to toy with his anus a bit, which he very much enjoyed. I even fisted him, with a well lubed arm all the way to my elbow and he loved it. Then I decided to mount him, so stood on a bucket and penetrated his ass, and as with the pony, he took a couple of strokes, head went up, he looked back at me as if to say "WTF, i'm a stallion not a mare!" and stepped away from me. He would not allow me near his butt again, but still enjoyed being scratched elsewhere and still sought me out for grooming.

My last experience was with a standard sized gelding whose only itchy spot was his ass. Scratch him around his ass and he was your buddy. Oddly he didn't enjoy being itched in any of the other usual places horses love, only his rectum. He was not wormy nor did he have a fungus as far as I knew. He loved a lubed finger in his butt and loved being fisted. I decided to try anal with him also and it was exactly the same as with the other two male horses I'd tried. He took a few strokes of my dick, suddenly raised his head from his feed, looked back at me with a WTF expression... stepped away and would not let me near his butt again unless I was standing at his side reaching back with my hand.

I think these events are the best examples of "consent" I've encountered as most of our stories about why we feel an animal can and does consent, rarely reflect what happens when an animal denies consent and says NO.

So I'm curious if any of you have had similar experiences with horses or other animals?
