Norwegian and Swedish studies have shown that in the majority of cases, the animals suffered severe physical injuries as well as anxiety and fear. The animals often die from their injuries.

I would love to see this study. They also note that it was only suspicion of animal brothels in Denmark, no actual proof. Overall nothing in the article is true and there is no way to make a comment that I can find.

we all know the numerous sources he vaguely alludes this way to have been written by Hisass, P.O. et al.

How would they know what "the majority of cases" is unless they have reliable numbers for how often it happens, which are nearly impossible to get since people are pretty secretive about it?

Yearningmice 1 point on 2015-07-17 14:38:51

Another example of just this statement, two pa men arrested...

Yeah... I was very surprised to read that too. I live in Sweden, but I have not heard of any Swedish study that would show that. In fact, when bestiality was banned a couple of years ago in Sweden, they based it on a British study that I find quite many faults in... Such as lumping all human-caused injuries towards the genitalia or anus as "sexual abuse", despite many of them probably being foolish tries at castration at home.

There is no study that can possibly prove a man's penis does harm to cattle or horses.

There are some videos online that do disturb me, however. These are the ones showing men trying to have sex with a 20lb dog, and it's obviously a very tight fit. These types of videos are horrible for the animal, and public perception.

I will stick to mares who love having sex and are virtually impossible to harm during normal intercourse.

It was thought that criminalising the act was not the right way to deal with people who are likely to suffer from mental illness or who are simply lonely.

Crazy or lonely, yep. Ironically I am probably among the happiest(and most sane :P) people I know who are in relationships.

Also, the article wasn't spell checked.

welcome to newscasting 2015, never let facts get in the way of a good story.

Beijing44 1 point on 2015-07-14 17:04:14

by now it's more like: "if it feels good for me, it's news"

the point where they found facts and then chose to ignore them has long been superseeded by not even researching anything at all. Perhaps one quick google and then get on with the article. What's that? A library - what the fuck is that?

Welcome to the world of American media.

What a load of shit! Animals aren't harmed by this stuff at all as long as you're careful and gentle with them! Where on Earth did they get their information from?

HeartBeatOfTheBeast Hoof and Claw 1 point on 2015-07-14 18:11:20

They simply make up the information.

ursusem 3 points on 2015-07-14 20:39:13

Well how can you really know what animals think about things since they can't express their feelings in words? I can understand reading the body language and guessing based on how they act that they (most likely) don't have a problem with it- but it's still just a guess. I mean, why would an animal want to have sex outside of their specie? I would love it if non-human animals had a desire to have sex with humans, but, don't they usually just select each other? I'm skeptical guys. It's no fun for me if the animal doesn't feel the same way about it as I do.

zoozooz 0 points on 2015-07-14 20:48:07

But why would a dog want to live with a human? Don't they usually select each other to hang out with?

ursusem 2 points on 2015-07-14 21:03:30

Well, how do we know that they want to live with humans? ... mysteries mysteries

syzithryx i like cookies 0 points on 2015-07-15 00:34:31

Animals have sex because it's fun, just like we do. I suspect they don't care who with as long as it feels nice. I can't know for sure of course, but I suspect. Just because they don't seek humans out doesn't mean they would have a problem with being with a human.

ursusem 2 points on 2015-07-15 00:44:36

I want to know for sure. There's gotta be some way

syzithryx i like cookies 0 points on 2015-07-15 01:59:59

Eh... well... try it and see what happens? Talk to people who've done it about their experiences? Something like that. Only way to find out really.

ursusem 2 points on 2015-07-15 02:44:44

There are a lot of other ways to know- ways I probably won't get into here. This thing is my passion.

You can have sex with our animal anywhere around the world, btw...it´s only the consequences of getting caught that differ.;)

Reelix 1 point on 2015-07-15 20:16:01

The animals often die from their injuries.

Aside from a rather odd video I saw with a guy and a chicken, how does this even happen? With larger animals, the "tossing a sausage down a hallway" analogy comes to mind...

Yearningmice 2 points on 2015-07-17 14:40:46

Well, with larger animals it certainly doesn't feel that way, but anywhere a vet's arm can go isn't going to feel abused by my six inches.

BUT, what people think of is a little tea cup chihuahua, it's really pretty amazing to see people realize when you talk to them that there are animals big enough to play with....
